Default Andre Smith foot injury Limited in Practice
Bengals RapidReports ‏@CBSBengals
No idea about this yet, but Andre Smith (foot) with the dreaded limited Thursday surfacing on the injury report.


Kinda scary if you ask me. With Whit practicing that is good, but can you imagine if we get stuck with Collins at LT and Roland at right..

Collins isn't as good as Smith, but he is no slouch.

small foot injuries carrying around that much weight = big foot injuries in the long run. Especially with his past history

I like how you/it said surfacing... I wonder if he already wasn't having issues last thursday that he was trying to keep under wraps.

haven't seen any exact details.... that being said, if it is it would probably not be a good idea re-signing him in the future.

You don't want a guy running around on a foot that's not 100% with 300 lbs pressing down on it.

He'll be ready.

Whit just had a concussion but he's 100%, so nothing to worry about.

We want to make sure that we're at full force when we roll into Heinz Field and that's all there is to it.

haven't seen any exact details.... that being said, if it is it would probably not be a good idea re-signing him in the future.


All depends on the foot, injury, and if it is a chronic condition or not.


None of which we know yet, so why jump the gun to the worst case scenario?

For all we know it is just something the put to give him a day off without listing the real reason so teams don't know to target the real problem.

Last year when Smith was inactive against the Rams it wasn't much of a drop off with Collins. Collins went 1 on 1 with Chris Long and pretty much shut him down. Might be a slight drop off in the running game, but might be better off in pass pro.

I take that back, Collins did give up a sack to Chris Long. Long did however had a breakout year last season and was even mic'd for the game. Collins is the #1 backup at both RT and LT. Roland won't start because they like to use him as extra TE in short yardage situations.
