You hear on the tv that the Zombie Apocolyps has just hit. You run to the back door and your 10 year old runs up and says he's just been bitten by another kid. You clean up the wound and go to the tv to find out more information and find out people that have been bitten by a Zombie will turn into a Zombie. Signs of a person turning are exactly like the flu and it takes 3 days for the person bitten to change. People bitten don't show it, but the pain is unbearable. Others can't tell if the person is just sick with the flu or going to become a Zombie. Anyone bitten has to be shot in the head before they change or, well you know what happens.

Then...

The power goes out. That's all the information you get.

I certainly wouldn't / couldn't shoot my child at that point. I'd quarantine him though.

I wouldn't be able to either, to shoot my own child. I would take care of him as if he had the flu and if he turned into a zombie, train him at Xbox or to be a Democrat, lol.

In all seriousness though, I don't know if I'd be able to shoot him if he turned either.

Yeah, but you don't know if he just has the flu or if he is turning. All you know is that he was bitten. You don't know if it was by a zombie or just some kid.

Do you chance it and wait the 3 days to see if he turns or do you go ahead and end his suffering?

I just don't know what I would do. On one hand, you don't want him to go through the pain and turn into a zombie, but on the other hand, maybe he does just have the flu. If you wait, the child would go through all that pain just to be killed in the end if he's a zombie and if you panic and kill him right then and there, you may find out he was just bitten by some kid and only had the flu.
