v. ![]() 12:00 PM ESPN Melvin White CB/FS ULL ![]() This guy is Dre Kirkpatrick available 6 rounds later. 6'3” 191, tall DB that plays a tough brand of football. Coming into this year he had a higher grade than former teammate Dwight Bentley. Sub-par Senior year allows him to slip. Chip Thompson SS ECU JUCO transfer that excelled in his 1 year at Division 1. Dude is a freak in the weight room. At 6,0” 210 lbs he put up a 1,194-watt jerk lift, a 320-pound bench press, a 440-pound back squat, a 286-pound power clean and a 35.5" vertical jump. Doesn't leave it all in the weight room though. Had over 55 tackles and 3 INTs this year. Also returned a fumble for TD |

All these bowls are like growing up in the nineties: awards for everyone.
Win 6 games? Where are you from again? Here, come to our bowl game! /rant

I grew up in 90's, born in '87. If you didn't win it all, you didn't win **** in sports. You either got a championship trophy or a handshake and a slice of pizza at the end of the year. I do understand what you are saying, but not everything was like that. By the way, I have a closet full of championship hockey trophies if you're interested.

He "looked" good out there. Definately a work in progress; however, he almost saved a TD through hustle.Probably not worth a draft choice.

Sorry not trying to be negative. Really had high hopes for Sands, I don't know how long they can wait for these guy to develop. I could see Hall switching to safety in a couple of years. We really seem to have a hard time with rookies/young guys coming in and contributing in the secondary. |

Right now we have Crocker, Mays, Sands, Iolka, Miles, Dye, Nelson, Clements. Really wish Mays would have worked out better as a starter. I didn't care for him coming out. I remember thinking for such a freak why doesn't he have any big plays. |

Tony Dye looked good in his one preseason game and was a solid safety at UCLA until he was hurt, but Im still pulling for Robert Sands. I want to see one of the two 6'4 safeties jumping into the passing lanes next season. Sands almost picked one off like that in the pre-season.

Maybe they should try Mays at LB. I personally think they should just release him. As far as our young guys in the secondary I'd like to see them let lloka play and see what he can do.

Same with Iloka, find a way to get him in on some packages, I think Iloka is about the same size as Lamur. The only thing I would want the D to do different is when it is 3rd and long get Rey off the field. |
