Even being on that list as a DT to me is so amazing. we are in a leauge where DEs are jackin up 15 sacks, FFs, and interceptions EASY, and Geno kept with em statstically. To me hes my DPOTY idc what Watt has done.

Watt will probably get it he's getting all the press. But Geno deserves it cause like you say he's doing things no DT but the very best of all time have done !

In a normal season, Geno should win it, but a 3-4 DE with 20 sacks, 15 PDs is just unbelievable.

I haven't really looked but what is the separation between him and the next player in those categories? The separation from Geno to the next is very large in several areas.

Yeah the media is head over heals for JJ. It is nice to finally have a dominat player on each side of the ball.

In the AFC the next best guy is Kyle Williams(not counting JJ Watt since he's in a different base scheme.) Williams has 40 tackles, 5.0 sacks, and 2 passes defensed.

In the NFC the next best guy is Ndamukong Suh

I think JJ most likely gets it but Geno sure as hell deserves it just as much.

Please back this with fact. As has been stated numerous times before this franchise does a very good job of retaining it's young productive players and rewards them well for it. Would love to see examples to back your statement without JJ being in it.

Atkins records a stop against the run every 10.6% of his run snaps played which is second in the NFL for DTs. Melton from Chicago leads stop % by run snaps.

On a side not Atkins has a mind boggling 69 QB pressures. The next closest DT is 21 behind that.
