Default 8-8 wouldn't really be that bad

Even if we lose these last two games we will still finish 8-8. That is not a losing record. Considering how young this team is that wouldn't really be that bad. it is certainly better than in the 90's.

And there is always next year to look forward to. Marvin has us on the right track. We just have to be patient.

Why are you so satisfied with mediocrity?

And what on Earth makes you think Marvin will be anything better than mediocre?

This looks like a surrender thread if I've ever seen one

This is the kind of thing you might want to say in hindsight after the fact, not less than an hour before a franchise defining game

8-8 wouldn't be that good either, especially getting swept by the Ravens and the Steelers again. I really dont want to another year to see if this team can beat those two teams.

It would be pretty crappy considering we're 8-6 right now.

I said at the beginning of the season id take 9-7 whether it made playoffs or not, cause it'd be back-to-back winning seasons and a step forward. That didnt get great praise lol, apparently that was settling for mediocrity. Its actually more an awareness that one of the worst teams in the league in the past 20 years wont go to a Superbowl overnight...

I'd have been slightly disappointed with 8-8 had you asked me in August. 8-8 would be a real letdown now. Even if its arguably quite likely.

8-8 is bad if you can control your destiny. 8-8 is good if you start out 1-7.
we beat the Steelers and Ravens we have a chance to win the AFC North which is damn hard to do.
leave the 8-8 stuff back in the Coslet era.
8-8 might as well be 1-15 to me when you consider the position we are in now.

Please Stop, we are always going to be a young team when we dont sign free agents and build threw the draft only to let the good ones go in FA. You think NE, or PITT are happy with 8-8. Nobody should settle for average.

With the way this team is built right now and how the other two are struggling - it's now or never.

I'd be very disappointed with 8-8. I predicted 10-11 wins before the season started. With hindsight, I underestimated some of our struggles on offense which in hindsight are reasonable given how much inexperience we have on that side of the ball, but the schedule also ended up being way easier and more favorable than I expected. Even with hindsight, this season was well set up for 10+ wins.

You hit all the loser buzzwords, good job . The team made the playoffs last year, regressing is not OK.

I keep hearing how young this team is but besides Dalton, what young player(s) do we have who are young and not playing well beyond their years? Green and Atkins are beasts and Zeitler seems to rank pretty highly in his first season, Burfect seems to be playing quite nicely in his rookie season,

The only position where I see a ton of youth is the WR corp besides Green and that's just poor roster construction.

Fred - step away from the Mike Brown Kool-Aid. We need to never accept mediocrity.
