Default Zimmer

Does this game now ensure Zimmer will be a head coach next year elsewhere??

I know there are some Zimmer haters out there, but I love this guy and I would be very sad if he wasn't with us next year!!!!!! The defensive has been nothing but amazing as of late.

He deserves to be a head coach, i'm just selfish and don't want to lose him

Nope, it will probably ensure his wallet gets heavier though.

well according to yahoo last year, he lost the Miami job because they brought up his relationship with Bobby Petrino and for our sake, we should hope every team asks him about that and scares teams out of taking him again

I was critical of him after the questionable blitz cost the Bengals a TD late in the first half... But the rest of his calls were solid. He is a great motivator and D coordinator, and I hope he stays with the Bengals for awhile.

Would really hate to lose him. But think he deserves his shot though.

The blitz did not cause it. Biting on a double move by Jones caused the TD.

Yeah it was a questionable call at the end of the half, but hell if he would of played soft, some people would of question him for being too soft and giving up the FG instead. Sometimes no matter what he does he just can't win, he has to pick his poison...........i love the guy

Yeah of the Cincinnati bengals. Marvin has no place here anymore. I've been on his side to long. This game has pushed me over the top. We should have lost that game because of his decisions.

Fair enough. I just feel like in that situation you leave you safeties deep or pay for it. In any case, Zim is the man, and I hope he stays a Bengal.

The only way I could be at least a little happy if Zimmer went elsewhere would be if he took Marvin with him.

Possibly Marvin could get a job as Head of Concessions and Parking with the new team?

I'm sure there will be an intelligent owner who doesn't mind his brutal honesty and will go after him.

This is what caused it. Jones bit on the play action!

Also, at what point does the blame go on Jones for biting on the pump fake. He knows he can't let anyone behind him cause the safety is blitzing, yet he still let Brown behind him!!!!! Questionable call, yes, but I blame the TD and execution squarly on Jones's shoulders

You would think but maybe not. However, he has got a lot of press lately so maybe more people will be more aware of him.

Zimmer had a great gameplan for our D. Hell of a game by the defense and i hope Zimmer does not go elsewhere..He should be our head coach if anything. If we have to kick Marvin out of the head coach position to make Zimmer stay and be the head coach then that's what we should do. I seen Zimmer getting in the players face and ripping someones *** & that's exactly what we need.

Let me clarify, I was *incorrectly* critical after that play. And reiterate that Zimmer is the man.

Would love Zimmer as our head coach, but I just don't see Marvin going anywhere. Going into this season most people predicted us to go 6-10 or 7-9 with the stength of schedule we had, yet we are about to go 10-6, thats not usually a recipe for a coach to be fired.

For Zimmer's recurring faults, his defence played lights out when it mattered the most this year. We were incredible on defence today. Im sure teams will look at him for HC positions, not sure it's a whole lot different a position to last year

I think several teams think he is a "gutless *******", so I don't think KC, Philly, Tennessee, San Diego, Carolina or Buffalo will care (assuming they all fire their Head coaches). At this point with Kevin Coyle's success in Miami, I think Zimmer is a shoe in Philly or KC. Raheem Morris would be on my replacement list.

As much as it pains me to say it, the only way we get to keep Zimmer is if ML moces to GM, which I don't see happening. Zimmer will be head coach of the Dallas Cowboys next year.
