Default Ok ... O-Line and RB

Obviously our two big areas of need. Chance Warmack and Gio Bernard - come on down!

So which guard are you replacing Zeitler that's probably gonna make the probowl as a rookie or Boling who's been solid all season?

Boling has not been solid all season. He is our main problem on the o line. We need to draft an OG in the 2nd round.

I disagree here. One game doesn't mean you change everything. That D was ferocious today, one of the best efforts I've ever seen from a Steelers D which is saying something. Our O-line has been grading out very well and is a top 10 unit; we definitely don't need another 1st round G. Boling is playing very well and we still have Wharton under contract so that should be a good battle next camp.

We definitely need a change of pace back but I don't care if we had AP today, he wouldn't have gained much against that D.

It's one game.

Boling grades out as a top 6 guy at his position. I guess we could go ahead and look for a top 5.....

I have to admit that after watching the Falcons with Roddy White and Julio Jones, and then watching our non-AJ receivers today, WR moved up on my wish list. We've got to get better in that #2 spot.

We've got 2 second round picks. I'm just say'in.

I posted this in the game day thread, but it got buried.

The complete inability of our DE to beat 1 on 1 blocks is the most frustrating thing about this team. They should be feasting with all the pressure Geno applies and double teams he commands. For Christ's sake he even makes Peko effective by forcing him to be solo blocked. I think this game just cements our absolute need for a 1st round DE in the draft.

At this point I would not be upset if we went Montgomery in 1 and Oakafor at the top of the 2nd.

We asked him about the time he fumbled without being hit and the time he threw an interception without being pressured and the other pick he threw -- under pressure but stupidly off his back foot toward double coverage. All of that happened on three consecutive possession, a 10-minute fusillade of fail that turned a one-possession game into a blowout loss...

The thing is Peko ***** and can't beat 1 guy. It's like our guys rely on others to do the job & when there blocked they just give up. I'd tell our guys, I don't care what you do to get around the guy just make his life a living hell and tell him it's gonna be all day.

#1 AJ
#2 Hunter, Woods, Patterson
#3 Sanu

Have Sanu and Gresham working the middle while AJ and #2 work outside and wherever else Gruden wants them. Throw in Hawkins for a few snaps and have Marvin ready to come in for 4 WR sets and our WR core will be really good. I just dont think Austin is the type of WR we need at all.

I like Patterson, but the only thing i'm concerned about with him is his production.. i understand you not wanting Austin, but we need guys who can create seperation & Austin is explosive with great numbers. Patterson has the size and the hands to be a good WR..I don't know if his qb ****** or what but I wouldn't mind him.

I would like for us to sign Henry Melton DT from Chicago, play him on passing downs and peko on run downs.

Let me add Id be very happy having Williams on our team next year if it happens, had him in one of my early mocks this season actually.

Also atm he is a 1st rounder while the guys I listed our round 2, not sure I want a WR in 1.

Yeah I think we need to draft a WR within our top 4 picks.

I know he's restricted but I'd even be interested in Danario Alexander.

I think Jordan Matthews out of Vanderbilt would be perfect but after watching Marvin Jones today I think they just give this core more time to groom. If we did draft one I'd like Jordan as the compliment to AJ. Guy has all the tools and is very underrated.

Another WR who I think is gonna be pretty good and i'm not sure anyone has mentioned him is Ryan Swope from Texas A&M.

With this in mind, and some wishful thinking,

1. Matt Elam (SS) [trade back for 3rd round pick]
2. Ezekiel Ansah (DE)
2. Chase Thomas (OLB )
3. Christine Michael/Stepfan Taylor (RB )
3. Jordan Matthews (WR)
4. Dennis Johnson (RB )

neither of those RB's fit what we really need.I'd also go DE 1st and S 2nd. As far as LB's go I like S Porter,Khaseem Greene,Kyle Van Noy.

I would do something like this.

1.Alex Okafor DE Tx(trade back for a 3rd)
2a.Xavier Rhodes CB Fla St
2b.Tony Jefferson S Okla
3a.Sean Porter LB TAMU
3b.Kyle Van Noy LB BYU
4.Jordan Matthews WR Vandy
5.Cornelius Washington DE Ga
5.(Livings Comp) Kerwynn Williams RB Utah St.
6a.Micheal Williams TE Bama
6b.Travis Bond T/G UNC

If you don't mind, what sort of RB do you think we need?
Right now, you either think BJGE is a #1 or you think he can be a capable #1 with a shiftier back to take away 33% of his carries.
Do you really believe we shouldn't upgrade the position, or are you just looking for ways to draft other positions before we take a RB?
