I have updated the overall standings thru Week #12, not including the CAR @ PHI game which will be added in Tuesday Morning.

We also have a change at the top of the standings board. Nebuchadnezzar has taken a 1 game lead over hollodero. If Philadelphia wins Nebuchadnezzar will have a 2 game lead. If Carolina wins Nebuchadnezzar and hollodero will be tied.

You don't have anything to worry about, if we are tied or I go up by 2, you'll make those up because I'll mess up eventually. I thought it was this week, but it seems everyone messed up this week, lol.

But really, the fact that I led this long just proves that a big deal of luck is involved here as well. (Not belittling my feeling.)

This had to be my finest football day ever

From seeing the Bengals win a big game like that to follow a playoff season with another playoff season over the Steelers of all teams, to having 1 game wrong all day and I should have won $500 on it (Giants) but won $80 instead and in my football pool I'm in at my local sports bar I have a chance to win the week for about $370, and to top it all off I ordered a few jerseys a while back and they just arrived today

Hey Guys,

Sorry I had to drop out of the Pick Em League. Since my last post or picks, some things have changed for me.
My wife of 42 years was diagnosed with uteran cancer just after Thanksgiving. She been put thru the ringer ever since. She had a complete hysterectomy on Dec 5th at the OSU James Cancer Clinic. We found out the cancer had spread, and is now Stage 2. She starts radiation treatments within the next week. She is having more tests tomorrow, if we don't get snowed in.

But I still make time to watch my Bengals, and root hard, as I always have.

I'd like to return to the Pick em League next season, and become more active here, in the forums.

It's good to be amongst friends here!

wow I'm very sorry to hear this and I know the battles with cancer all too well. 2 years ago I lost my brother with Testicular Cancer in October 2010 and I was just about completely inactive on here for 9 months after that, I just had no urge to be here after I lost my brother and exactly a year ago today on Christmas I lost my grandmother to lung cancer, she was in a hospice for 10 days before we lost her on Christmas and I woke up this morning still upset about it and to me it just wasn't Christmas today and almost didn't feel like wanting anything to do with it today

but I hope your wife is a strong fighter and that she makes a full recovery where you feel encouraged enough to be active on here again and more importantly where you and your wife can live a normal life again
