![]() v. ![]() DEC 24, 8PM, ESPN Fresno State PHILLIP THOMAS, FS, ![]() Big Ball Hawking DB (Consensus All American). Led the nation with 8 INTs (3 returned for TD). Has been a difference maker his whole career (13 INTs, 6 FFs). Excels at all 3 levels (blitzing run support, coverage). To go along with superior coverage skills he has also racked up 73 tackles (12 TFL), 4 FFs and 4 sacks this year. Victim of the East Coast bias, may be the best DB in the nation. ROBBIE ROUSE, RB ![]() MoJo Drew, Doug Martin type that is all the rage lately. 5'7”, 190 lbs. Productive both on the ground 1468 rushing yards 12TDs and 406 receiving yards 2 TDs. Although small in stature, he runs determined and does a lot of his damage up the middle. Leaves FSU as the most prolific runner in school history. SMU Margus Hunt DE ![]() Poor man's Ziggy Ansah. Did not take up football until 2009. Born in Estonia. In 2006 he became the 1st person ever to win the Gold Medal at the Junior World Championships in Shot Put and Discus (still holds discus Junior World Record). Leaves SMU after amassing 14.5 sacks, 25 TFL, and 1 INT. Has batted down 6 passes and blocked 17 kicks in his career. Named the No. 1 athletic "freak" in college football by CBSSports.com. At 6'7”, 280 lbs it is predicted he will run in the 4.6 range and put up around 45 reps in the bench (with an 81" wingspan). Zach Line RB ![]() Possibly the most productive RB you have never heard of. Leaves SMU with 4114 rushing yards and 46 rushing TDs. Throw in another 600 in the air. He is the only player in SMU history the rush for over 1200 yards in 3 consecutive seasons (In case you didn't know Eric Dickerson went there). |

Love me some Robbie Rouse.
He is one of those guys I wish I actually got to see play during the season. So I will definitely be watching him tonight.

I haven't got to see much of Phillip Thomas this year. I will be watching him closely as I have seen some call him the best safety in this class.
Hunt intrigues me just as much as Ansah. With his JJ Watt like size he could be a force if he puts it all together. |

Gotta admit I did not know Thomas' number were that impressive, until I started researching for the thread.
Was big on Hunt coming into the season, but I lost interest. Looking forward to tonight's game. |

He also has 4 sacks. I am intrigued to watch this game tonight now because he would be a great mid-round pick if he can match what we see on paper.

Yeah, I mentioned that in the initial write up. Dude has put up the stats to suggest he would excel at all 3 levels.

I'd take Hunt just so he could block FGs. I don't remember the number of blocked FGs he has, but it's pretty crazy.
edit: 17 blocked kicks in his career. (10 FGAs, 7 PATs) ![]() |

This is a nightmare to watch. Like watching an offense and defense scrimmage.
Neither school has an alternate uni? Red and white both ways? Come on.

Impressive move to the outside by Hunt.
Obviously needs some work.

Hunt has made himself some money in the 1st half.

Those flashes Hunt shows will make somebody fall in love with the potential and probably take him pretty early. He would be hard to pass up in the 3rd. And I don't see how we could pass him if for some reason he is still on the board in the 4th.

Hunt's final stats were... 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 TFL. He made a good final impression, and one would think he is going to stand out at the combine.

Someone is going to grab Hunt in the first after he blows up the combine. I can't find much tape on him yet so I'm am going to hold comments. He he did look good in the bowl on the two sacks, oh those poor Carr boys. Phillip Thomas, sign me up. Only question is level of compition, Mountian West and WAC QB's. However he dominated that comp. He should show up big at the senior bowl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7R24OSpXVI Serious look with one of our 2nds. |

If Margus Hunt really runs a 4.6 at the combine (as one of the announcers said he would), he will jump to the first round. He made some serious money today!
My son said he has a "neck beard". ![]() Wouldn't mind him in stripes at all (but not if we have to lose MJ). |
