I'm still gonna say Anseh is a little too raw to go that early. A lot of people here are high on him, but I think he's a second rounder right now. I like the rest.

I figure he could offer something in the return game, and with it being a 6th round pick there's virtually no risk there. |

I can't get on board with Ansah in 1 until I find out how old he is. If he is a Weeden or Danny Watkins type no way. If he is just a grown man out muscling college kids I am not that impressed. To me that has a huge effect on how high I view his ceiling.

From the small amount of research I've done it looks like he's 23, and will be 24 before the draft. So he's a little older, but not 28 year old rookie old.

That was Pierre Paul's drawback counting up to his draft, too raw. He turned out pretty Damn good, so maybe its worth the gamble

Really like the draft. Barner isn't my favorite but I would love a COP with BJGE. I love Ansah. He looks good with high ceiling.
Addresses needs and adds depth. Like matheui IF he says the right thing at interview. What he says will reveal his attitude and that is the only problem; talent isn't a question. I say, if he says the right thing, take a shot at getting a starting CB and pro bowl level returner for a 5th round pick. |

Just like all you who said don't draft Janoris Jenkins? He just broke the NFL record for pick 6s as a rookie, and has 0 off the field issues. But we have Kirk warming the bench, no worries.

I just don't see it with Ansah.
I've never seen what other people see in him.

Also that zero off the field issues you mentioned, I guess your just ignoring the fact he was suspended earlier in the season correct? Hindsight is 20/20, the guy had MAJOR character concerns going into the draft and he was to risky for round 1 no matter how you want to spin it and 32 NFL teams agreed considering he went in round 2. Also comparing wanting to take Jenkins in 1 to Matheiu in 6 is just hilarious. |

I found it on a Giant's message board, so take that for what it's worth. They're all estimating his age from 23-26, but one post I read said someone "found out" Ansah was 23 right now.
http://boards.giants.com/showthread....h-DE-BYU/page2 It is kind of odd though that the BYU page doesn't list his age, nor the ESPN page on him... |

Kirk is on the bench because of injuries, not because of development issues or off the field issues. There is a major difference.

Besides the pick sixes, Jenkins has been pretty horrible at corner this year. PFF has him ranked in the bottom 5 in the NFL.
Casey Hayward on the other hand, now THAT was a good find by the Packers. |

-Chris Henry should have stayed gone, but MB wanted him back for whatever reason. -Thurman was a bad pick in hindsight, and he should have gotten cut at the end of his 1st year, but being a 2nd round pick I'm sure the FO couldn't logically do that. -While not a problem off the field(while here) Ocho should have been traded to the Redskins, but was kept around to sell tickets and get the team some press. These guys were only distractions because they were allowed to be. This new Bengals team doesn't appear to be like that anymore though. Burfict, for example, seems to be working out fine, and I'll admit I didn't want him here at first. |

What if Barner is gone? What is your backup plan? Can you take another year of this wih no speed at RB? We must draft a RB in the first 3 rds. We must fill that position or look at another year of 1-2 yds per carry.

If Barner is gone then you take Kerwynn Williams in the 5th and quite possibly Zac Stacy may go undrafted and we could pick him up as well. Their are other options.

Howard is coming off an ACL injury and if we get Ogletree I think he'll start.
