Heading to Japan after i graduate college in may

a friend and i are going to go over to tokyo after i graduate and get some money put together. in the mean time my friend and i are going to learn as much japanese as possible for the trip so we are not completely useless and vulnerable over there.

My question is have any of you been over to japan before and if so, what is it like over there? any cool sights to go see or anything to go do?

we plan on going and trying some authentic japanese quizine. I am extremely excited to go over there.

I was stationed over there. Base life is different than 'ordinary' life amongst the regular population, but I loved Japan. You'll surely enjoy it too.

You dont have to go to Japan for that...just go to Benihana's

As for cool sights, I would check out Hiroshima, ride the bullet train, climb Mt Fuji, and get a happy ending in Tokyo's red light district...but thats just me.

I have a first cousin that was born over there. She is half Japanese and half American. She used to be a model that starred in commercials. Anywho, you're gonna love it. I've always wanted to go and will someday.

Have you tried sushi? It is amazing if you get the good stuff. You can get all kinds of different sushi if you don't like fish. Although I'm not a big fish fan, but the fish in sushi never has tasted "fishy". I usually get it without the seaweed too. I haven't had much other Japanese food though.

When you do go, let us know how it was and post some pics!

I'll let her know. I will admit, she is a looker. Her husband has bad teeth, and looks like Dwight Yoakam in Sling Blade. However, she really is a beautiful woman. If I can find a pic of her, I'll post it. She is really cool.
