Stats don't always tell the story Leon was served with butter and jelly like any other rookie starting. I have a question do you think Leon is having a good season this year?

Fans don't know but the coaches probably have a pretty good idea.

I understand that. But you can't look at his tackles, interceptions, passes defensed, and forced fumbles and tell me a guy had a horrid year...

Be excited. I am. He's a 6'2 guy with speed and physicality who will have a whole offseason in the weight program to get stronger. He's physical and Marvin has talked really well about him. Not only that but he's learning from some savvy vets.

True you can't do that, but that doesn't indicate a good year either.

While it's understandable that people are upset Kirk has been hurt and has been put on IR, if he was healthy he wouldn't be playing anyways. Hall, Newman and Jones have all played fantastic this year. At best, he'd be the 4th corner receiving very little game time, and there would be people calling him a bust because he wasn't playing. There's a number of people that just hated the pick and they wanna label him with the bust tag because they don't like him. Once healthy and up to speed, put him across from Hall and you have two guys that play press coverage rather well. That would be a big plus for the pass rush.

lol When I read Pollack I literally started lol'ing. Were predicting Dre to almost die after one bad year of injuries.lol wow im done in this thread. Best answer I saw was its only one year. If it happens next year or further then we screwed up

If you think about it he wasn't going to play in playoffs anyway he probably would have played week 17 and thats it

I guess it will be like having two first rounders next year.

I just knew someone in here was going to write a stupid response, like cut him or stupid pick.

Based on his scouting reports he has the skill set that would translate to him being a top of the line safety so if the CB thing doesn't work I'd love to see him at safety.

J-Joe had a very rough couple of years early with injuries I believe. He got though it finally...

Cut him! Horrible pick.

Its a missed opportunity for him to be on the field, not a missed draft pick. I think a healthy Leon and Dre would help destroy all that work NE has done vs the blueprint the Giants used. Looking forward to next year when Dre is back at safety, corner or wherever helping this defense take yet another step forward.

I'm not saying he's a bust, but so far it seems like a very good thing that he was a "free" pick.

Like I said.
Expecting anything from this player this year or, most likely, ever is foolish.

Based on the few games he's played for us, he didnt make any bad plays on ST's and the few snaps he had at corner. So id say that the jury is still out. Not a wasted pick by your standards.

Oh well, this was expected. The good news is.....we didn't need him after a couple guys stepped up. So technically, we just got an extra 1st round CB for next year to add to our other 1st round and 2 2nd rounds

Just think how good this defense could be if he were healthy all season.
This team has done a great job without much help from their #1 draft pick.

Overall we've been relatively injury free. Howard is missed though. Sands might be too. |

The reality of the outcome of the 17th pick of the 2012 National Football League draft is one of non-appearance.
Many threads during the 2012 National Football League schedule have listed the snaps of Dre Kirkpatrick which, I am guessing, total fewer than 75. This is a sad outcome, one that actually allows my Oakland Raider fan who is my best friend the opportunity to laugh as the outcome of the Carson Palmer trade can only deal with potential and no reality. The Cincinnati Bengals have allowed the Oakland Raiders to acumulate a 12-19 record with no positives for the Cincinnati bengals on the positive side of the ledger. Very disappointing! |
