Time to retire "nicknames" for other AFC teams?

This is something that has been on my mind for awhile and I thought I would bring it to a vote, to see how my fellow Bengal fans felt on this issue.

Now that we have turned a corner and aren't perpetually losing, we have heard less and less of the "Bungle" comments about us. I remember how I felt about hearing that dumb name before and after, and it just always bothered me as something so lame and childish.

With that being said, I think it's time we as a fanbase turned the corner and upped our game to a new level of class. As we are no longer perennial losers, I think we should start to act like it.

I think it's time to retire the "Stoolers", "Clowns", "Ratbirds" talk. I don't know about you guys, but I think it makes us look like we are bitter kids who got upset about someone calling us names.

That being said, I want to know what you guys think!

"Clowns" "Stoolers" and "Ratbirds" are amazing! Football fans would be boring if there was no childish name calling thrown in. So....you can quit using them.....but I just can't do it. It's not even like I say that too much, but I'd like to reserve the right to do so.

You think Pitt and Balt fans gave up on calling us Bungle fans when they were at top....?

I don't really care, but I rarely use derogatory nicknames. Same with swearing. I had a teacher when I was in 7th grade (many, many, many years ago - but he was a man that I respected) who once made a comment to the class that I've never forgotten: "The only people who curse and swear and hurl ignorant insults are those who are to stupid to think of anything intelligent to say."

I always thought that his comment was wise and have done my best to follow it. Use logic. Use language. Use good valid arguements. Show intelligence, not stupidity.
