Which FA's would you like us to take a shot at this offseason?

Personally i'd like to see us get a DE and a WR...

I am leaning more towards offensive free agents. The defense seems to have had a lot of patch-work veterans added in recent years. I would prefer to get some top talent rookie picks for the defense and patching the offense's holes with free agents.

Dwayne Bowe has consistency issues, when he is good he is great, of course that could be because he plays in KC...?

MB would never pay Osi or Freeney the money they will get.

I think Bowe is much more suited as a #2 WR. If he's wanting #1 money and/pr someone is willing to pay him to be their #1, then I would pass.

Will Osi or Freeney be getting big bucks? I can't imagine it unless it was a short term deal, or a front loaded deal.

Avril is #1 on my wish list, but I fear that it will take mega $$$ to get him. Not saying he isn't worth it, but we have a lot of guys we need to get extended pretty soon.

I second that. Try to resign our own and the draft will take care of the rest.

I don't want to be a team that is built around FA's. But I think it is a good idea to supplement the team with 1 or 2 quality FA's.

Depending entirely on the draft can be a double edged sword.

Exactly. Re-sign our guys, and add through the draft, it's been working for the team the last couple of years,
no need to stop that strategy now.

It hasn't really been working though. Sure, we've got a winning record over the last 2 seasons, but we're still a loser against Pitt and Balt overall, and we got absolutely destroyed in the playoffs last year.

Bringing in 1 or 2 KEY FAs could benefit this team a lot. Especially in the win now era.

Also, some of our best players are guys we didn't draft:
Nelson(traded for him, but still)
Newman
Gilberry
Crocker
Pacman
Green-Ellis
Hawkins

Granted, we didn't break the bank for any of these guys, but they've still benefited this team.

I understand that, I'm just saying I don't see the need to make a "splash" in free agency, when
it seems like the team is beginning to head in the right direction without making any giant moves in free agency.

All of our LB have been liabilities in coverage.
Minter isn't that great in coverage. If you want a coverage LB, get Khaseem Greene.

Minter has to be better than Maualuga in coverage. I really like Khaseem Greene,drafting him and Van Noy/Sean Porter would be amazing for us.

Rey has been better than Burfict.
So....you aren't really getting THAT much better.

I think if the opportunity is there to tremendously upgrade a position we have to do it. Now this offseason though, there aren't too many "big" FAs, but we should still go after the best guys that fit our scheme/s.

That's not to say we try to create an All-Star team(lol Eagles), but getting someone like Greg Jennings, Wes Welker, Cliff Avril, etc... may put this team over the edge.

I would rather resign our guys. Avril is going to want to much money and MJ would be cheaper to resign. Bowe is trouble and not sure about Jennings.
