Best live shows ever. There was a time back in the early 90's when I would travel long distances to see a Parliment/Funkadelic show.

The shows were like 3 or 4 hours long with no breaks. They had about a dozen musicians that would wonder on and off the stage. The crowds were always full of women on ecstasy dressed like sleezy ho's. Lots of nasty grinding going on in front of the stage.

Bootsy never had the hits that George did, but I saw "Bootsy's New Rubber Band" live on Haloween night about 20 years ago, and it was insane. Just like a Parilment show except with more costumes.

Also saw Maceo Parker and Fred Wesly with The Horny Horns. Another epic funkfest.

I seen Roger Troutman and Zapp at some park in Cincinnati a long time ago. They put on a free concert in some park in Avondale and it was freaking AWSOME!

Oh, and I went to a couple Kool Jazz Festivals back when Kool Cigarettes used to sponsor these things and it was a blast. I'll tell you what, Luther Vandross was fantastic.

But,

the best concert I've ever seen was Earth, Wind & Fire and the second best was Prince and a close third the O'Jays and Temptations and the fourth best was Aerosmith with Guns and Roses opening for them.

Evenesense(sp?) was pretty good too, but it's not my favorite genre of music. Earth Wind & Fire will always be the best though.

I met him once. Did some contract work for his studio in Dayton. Good man.
