Roger's brother shot him and then killed himself. Pretty sad.

Yeah, you know the only thing I ever had against rap was that it stole the spotlight from funk. People forgot about funk. Heck, you can't even go see a bad porno and hear the funky bass in the background anymore. We really lost something special when we let funk die IMO.

Well, you can still hear Funk when you listen to Rap since they steal from Funk, lol.

I don't blame Rap but do blame Hip Hop since Hip Hop proceeded Rap.

EDIT: That song, Rappers Paradise pretty much killed Funk because it changed Pop music forever. Funk never entered the Pop genre and thank God for that because we would have some messed up sucky music if Funk ever did.

EW&F has a reputation as a pop radio band, but they bring the heavy funk to their live shows. When I saw then they had four seperate drum set ups with one at each corner of the stage, and Verdeen White was thumping the **** out of the bass.
