Default Andy Reid as Bengals head coach

I know we are going deep in the playoffs, but a lot of people here wants Marvin Lewis out after this season. 99.999% of chance we will not see any changes, but if we would, would you like to see him here? Thoughts?

Only if Marvin is GM

but then Zim would be HC and Fat Andy and Vick end up in Buffalo

My dream scenario would be Zimmer being head coach, bringing in Norv Turner as OC, and Jack Del Rio as defensive coordinator, all while Marvin resumes his duties as GM.

He's done some great things with quarterbacks, but Marvin Lewis isn't going anywheres. The Bengals have a history of promoting within the organization anyways.

There is no way Marv is getting fired...and IF he did I would want Zimmer.

Reid lost that team.
I don't see him taking a job for a few years unless someone throws a fat pay check at him

Do you think Phil Jackson will be interested in coaching the Bengals next year?

Let's talk Sam Wyche out of retirement while we're at it. I still remember him calling the onside kick against Houston while up big because he knew what a sleaze Jerry Glanville was and wanted to stick it to him.

He gained respect in my eyes when he did that.

Didn't Bill Cowher touch down in Cincy over the last offseason? Sounds like the 2 year long plan is all starting to come together...

I have heard his name mentioned with San Diego but I think he may have a few items in his personal life that he needs to sure up so like you said I wouldn't be surprised if he takes a year off.
As to op Marvin isn't going anywhere.

Marvin is good with personnal, but is a below average HC. The sub .500 record proves it.

Andy Reid is not who we need as HC.

I would go Zimmer as HC, with Del Rio as DC, and Hue Jackson as OC.

This team would explode with that kind of leadership, but would have to settle for 30 something first round picks for the next 5-6 years.
I think 3 SB in 5 years would be worth that kind of move.

You didn't hear? Last off season there were reports of Cowher in Cincy. The reason we can't get Reid to be our HC is because when Cowher was here, Marvin and Cowher formulated a plan that would make Marvin the GM and Cowher the HC. This is going to be much like a Lebron-Wade situation but with our coaching staff. I've even heard that they're going to squeeze BOTH Gruden brothers in the coaching staff somewhere.

If we go deep in the playoffs, there's no way Marvin gets fired

We should hire Mike Tannenbaum as our GM, trade for Rex Ryan and sign Tim Tebow in the offseason.

There is no way he gets fired after MAKING the playoffs. This is Mike Brown's world. We're just living in it.

There will be no job opening on the Bengals for a head coach this year.

It is rare for any coach to get fired when he makes the playoffs in 3 out of 4 years. Why he was here for so long before doing so is a whole other story. BTW, not a big Marvin fan as a coach....am on the same pipe dream as others about GM though.
