Default Burfict!!!

Just saw he had 18 total tackles yesterday and 10 of which were solo! This guy is an absolute animal!

What does it take to lock him up? And with all our young talent can we afford to lock everyone up?!

I'm pretty excited about Burfict. I think that as long as Marvin is our coach, Burfict will stay.

He's a rookie, so I think he's on the team for 2 years I think.

He's an UDFA so I would not worry about him leaving yet. I also think that he will have some team loyalty since the Bengals r the only ones that gave him a shot. Really it is Marvin that gave him a chance to play in the NFL and I think Burfict knows how much of his successes he owes to Marvin. Not sure what his contract status is but I would not expect him to be going anywhere anytime soon.

This guy just may be my favorite player! I'm not so much worried about him leaving just curious as to what it's going to take when that time comes

I recently won an 8x10 photo signed by the Bengal of my choice. I was a really tough decision between Dalton, Green, Adkins, and Burfict!!!

It's all about the paycheck. He will leave for a better offer after he is able to sign elsewhere

It'll take the 2014-2015 offseason. Rookies can't get their contract renegotiated or extended until after 3 seasons nowadays.. which coincidentally is also when he's a RFA.

2013 Outside FA Wishlist:
Chris Ivory, RB (Trade a 5th for him.)

2013 Mock Draft:
21. Eric Ried, S
37. Jamar Taylor, CB
53. Travis Frederick, C
84. Jamie Collins, OLB
115. Montee Ball, RB

Man... FA has really made me edit the crap out of my Wishlist/Draft... and not really for the better.

I think Paul Guenther should get some credit for the success of Burfict. He has got a lot from a linebacking core that is far from the most talented we've had. A very good assistant that after a few more years under Zimmer could be poised to take his place.

Burfict > Zietler and other rookies for the Bengals RoY?

I can go with this, and I think Zeitler had a very good year for being a rookie.

I agree but he has his haters on this message board that are fans of this team... Which is odd because most fans want the best guy on the field so the team can win. But it threatens their favorite guy that is and has under performed for 4 years and stinks up the field IMHO leading to big plays and touch downs.

I kinda wussed out and went with Dalton.

Kinda wish I went Burfict now, but I figure my chances of getting his on a photo is higher in the future than w/ Dalton. ha

what kind of deal is he on? we normally sign these young guys to 3-4 year min deals.

3 yr(s) / $1,440,000

So i dont know if the 3 year rule applys to UDFA's or just draft picks... But I would say get the big deals done now. And if possible give him a raise next season.

He is locked up for at least the next two seasons. There should be two priorities on defense and those are re-signing MJ and extending Geno.

Who are these haters you speak of? I know there were those when he signed that were leary and wanted to see him prove himself and I was one of those. I certainly have not seen anyone hating on Burfict since he has been playing.

Howard should be re-signed. Skuta brought back in his same role other than that I see no priority at all.
