Why fear Denver? We played them close earlier this year when we weren't even playing well as a team. Plus Peyton is hit or miss in the playoffs. The only team that really scares me is New England. Brady, Belichick and those TEs in Foxboro? No thanks.

Time to take it a step further: WHEN (not if) we beat Houston and Denver, which team would you want to play in the AFC Championship? It's between the Colts, Ravens, and Pats.

Obviously, we would hate to play the Pats, so then it's the Colts or the Ravens.

That's the only team I think we would get beat pretty badly if we played. Tom Brady and those weapons would rip us to shreds. We would have to hit Tom Brady a lot to win the game.

I don't fear the Pats.

Brady is a pocket passer, and this D line tears pocket passers to pieces.

The Pats D is not good, and we should be able to control the game, if we get a lead.

I think we take the Texans. They are not playing good ball, and if you stop the run, and put pressure on the QB, they fold.

I hope we get a chance to play the Colts. Andrew Luck will be pounded and smothered all day long. their D could not stop this team. They are the weakest playoff team in the AFC.

The Ravens are going to be tough. They are an AFCN team, and we are the toughest division in the NFL. That will be a war. It is a coin toss who will win. They may have a slight edge, but if Jones continues to improve like he has the last couple of weeks, that will make the difference.

Denver is tough. Their D is solid, and gets almost as much pressure as our D does. Our O line should be better now, and that will help some. We have a #2 WR in Marvin Jones, and that should help some.
We also have a Defense that is getting better and better. I think having a healthy D, makes a slight difference, and that is all the difference we need. It will be close, but we can beat the Boncos too.

The question is not can we beat these teams, but will we. That depends on smart coaching, and playing to our potential. If we play smart ball, and play hard all 60 minutes, we can beat any of these teams.


Now, is the time to get ready for the Texans. One game at a time, for the next four games. Then we can worry about the 32nd pick in the NFL Draft.

Thats the dink and dunk stuff. You can't quick release something deep. Any team that turns Peyton into Chad Pennington is going to have a good shot at victory.

Haven't been on here for awhile.. I like the optimism on the boards, a big change from last time I was on here. But let's be real guys--we have a lot to prove on both sides of the ball yet. Our D has a lot to prove in the playoffs, and our inexperienced offense does as well (especially Dalton). So many of you are writing up the wildcard game as a win already--it's not. Houston's a good team, I don't care if they've lost a few late in the season. Hopefully I see a good showing from both sides of the ball on Saturday, then we can worry about Denver (who we played well against).
