Before the season started it was projected Eric would go in the 10 top; however, a season that didn't quite live up to expectation and the depth of Safeties in the class has seen him drop. The last few years we have taken the “best” at different postions (Andre, AJ, Jermaine, Zeitler). With the fall this kid has suffered we could add Eric to that list.

KEVIN MINTER/ILB


Many projected Minter as the #1 rated ILB prior to the season. For some reason, he doesn't get talked about that much and should be available if we want him. Had a fine season. 3rd in the SEC with 111 tackles (13.5 TFL), 3 sacks, 1 INT, and 5 PDs.

Goes into tonight's game with already 272 tackles,and 14 INTs for his career. Great blend of speed and size. Smart kid; only the 2nd Clemson player is school history to earn his degree in only 3 years.

ANDRE ELLINGTON,RB


5'9”, 190 pound scat back, in the mold of CJ2K. Rushed for over 2200 yards and 19 TDs in just his last 2 years. Receiving threat out of the backfield and brings skill to the return game. 4 year contributor, that never finished a season under 5 YPC.

Even though he is only 6-1 and a redshirt junior I think Boyd would be doing himself some favors coming out in this draft. This QB class is horribly weak. And with the recent success of Cam, RGIII, Kaepernick, and Russel Wilson he could find himself being an early pick due to the mobile QB trend. If somebody falls in love with him who knows how early he could go.

He's put up big numbers. He'll do very well at the combine. He can run and throw. Who is at the top of the heap for QB's? I don't even know. He could end up a first rounder.

Supposedly Geno Smith who imo has the height advantage on Boyd but not much else.

What a crappy year to be at the top of the draft. Last year Luck and RGIII. This year Geno Smith, another USC QB and potentially Boyd. Sometimes life ain't fair.

Minter has great instincts and ability to rush the passer. i find that he's just not the athlete Mosley, Ogletree, Barr, or Te'o are.

Watching his tape, I don't think he'd be a bad SAM. He just seems to be slow when trying to catch a back as he cuts by him or around the corner. Not as fast laterally.

WoW! Simply a wonderful finish! Clemson putting over a 100 offensive snaps gashed LSU. Mingo is a Top 10 even a top 5. Montgomery is questionable, but had a good game. My biggest surprise was how Goodman the Clemson DE has risen his game for the occasion. I would take DeAndre Hopkins in a heartbeat in any NFL team. Tajh Boyd should declare and sky rocket is draft stock to the first round. If scouts question his accuracy, he just have to answer: 4th and 16 inside 1 minutes in the Chick-Fill-A Bowl....
