according to ESPN, we have the longest shot to win the superbowl @ 40-1. closest is Minnesota @ 30-1. the best odds were given to NE and Denver @ 5-2.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/story...ers-every-team i first saw this on bottom line scroll bar on ESPN2 channel. they were talking about the teams odds in the play offs.

I support Andy Dalton 100 percent. Some fans expect too much too soon or from too little. Dalton is not the problem. Sometimes I think the only reason people gripe about him is because they have nothing better to do or simply like to read the word of their own writing, similar to when people complaining just to hear the sound of their own voice. If the world has no faith in me, Then I have no faith in it. Prosperity should not be shared with those who did not earn it. |

I said in another thread, I'd use this as bulletin board material. I'd also play the "you're disrespected" card to Geno Atkins because all the talk is about J.J. Watt.
I also put 50 bucks on 'em at those odds. |

![]() The odds are what they are. When the games play out we'll see if they were right or not. Until Cincinnati has shown they can be successful in recent playoff history, they'll continue to get no respect. This season it seems to just drive them harder. So, I say heap it on 'em and watch the show. |

Bleacher report has them currently at a 45/1 odds, with the team being called the comment of "They sound a lot like the last two Giants championship squads, so don’t sleep on this dark horse."
When is the last time any article in any publication anywhere compared the Bengals to a championship winning team? ![]() http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...-to-win-it-all Last edited by wavemakersdj; 01-03-2013 at 02:19 PM. |

This site has them at 50-1, only ahead of the Vikings (75-1) and Colts (80-1).
Bet the farm but don't tell the wife until after the Super Bowl! http://www.usatoday.com/story/gameon...-odds/1805047/

I think we have a shot at beating the Texans...but I think the forum is overoptimistic.
Do I think we have a shot at beating the Texans, then the Broncos, then the Patriots, then the Falcons or 49ers? That would be REALLY tough...I think that a lot of people are giving the Steelers and Ravens victory a little too much importance. The Steelers weren't good this year and the Ravens played 2nd stringers most of that game. With that said...anything is possible...but our offense needs to play like it did during the 3 game stretch where Sanu was catching TD's. That's the key. People compare us to the Giants as they were a 6th seed last year and the defenses definately do compare...but Eli Manning threw for nearly 5,000 yards last year. They also had 2 Pro Bowl level WR's and a really good RB. We have some of that equation, but not all. |

Can I use the same line of reasoning on buying a lottery ticket? Either its a winner, or it isn't.

40 to 1 odds we win the superbowl (the worst in the pool). 4.5 point underdogs for the game on Saturday. Prior to the Steelers game, the ****' at CBS stated that many teams in the playoffs wanted the Bengals to make it in and knock the Steelers out because they were afraid of how good the Steelers could be. These are all depictions of what the media and many others outside of Cincinnati believe. Even after we knocked the Steelers out of the playoffs, no one believed in us. Today, only a handful of analyst have given us a fighting chance.
I hope every Bengals player has absorbed this during the past 2 weeks. I hope the offense has been working their ***** off to prove the haters wrong, and I hope big Geno Atkins smacks that smug look off of Schaub and Fosters face. The Texans secondary is weak, and Dalton can easily get back on track if he's worked hard. This is our game! This is our time! I have to admit that I haven't been a great fan this season. I could have talked a lot more trash and I could have beat up a few more Stooler fans, but I let the team down. I want to let the Bengals and all of the board members know that I believe in this team, and I'm not worried about anyone in this playoff field. Our DEF is second to none IMO, and Andy is intelligent enough to make the right moves. One bit twice shy Houston! WHO DEY!
