Chiefs hire Andy Reid

It is now official. The Chiefs have hired ex Eagles head coach Andy Reid to the same position, replacing the fired Romeo Crennel. Contract is expected to be finalized later today.

I really thought he would go to San Diego..I think he will rebuld KC though and they will have better season this year!

Theres no QBs worth Drafting or really trading for. except maybe alex smith.

He also got the KC GM fired to bring in his own guy (thats a lot of pull for a man coming off 2 horrible seasons)

Its gonna be a tough go for some of the stars in KC.

Andy Reid is the "QB whisperer", he'll have Cassell looking better than he did for the Patriots, when Brady went down.

About half serious.

Reid does well with QBs, he's inheriting a really good running team, and a stout defense. With the easy schedule they'll be getting, they could easily be a 9-10 win team next season.

I like Reid, his downfall is everyone patting him on the back about how great he is with QBs. He fell in love with Vick and these project guys and it was all downhill while he neglected the defense.

Reid is getting a top defense, top running game. You have the 1st pick in the draft. You trade it like the Rams did and parlay it into multiple picks over the next 2 seasons and go heavy in free agency and you set yourself up for long term success.

I'd make a play for Flynn or Alex Smith. Both are relatively young who will last 3 years just in time to get you a good one coming through the ranks. After the past 2 seasons for the Chiefs anything about 5 wins will be considered a success. Smith could do that for them.
