What are your favorite board games?
I had heard that Apples To Apples was so much fun but I really didn't care for it. Had a blast playing Quelf and Dicecapades... Right now me and my girlfriend are looking for a new game and I am torn between Telestrations and The Game Of Things (even though it sounds very similar to Apples To Apples).

Never played Apples to Apples, but tried things a few weeks ago. Was fun. Had about 15 people playing though, seemed like maybe it was too many.
It's pretty old, but my favorite is still Scategories.

I love playing the classics like monopoly and clue. Like you I didn't care much for apples to apples. Everyone has a ****** for it though.

I play a lot of games, some are pretty far out there, some are pretty classic.
Clue Scattergories Munchkin Taboo Balderdash Trivial Pursuit Fluxx Axis and Allies History of the World Smallworld Ticket to Ride The list could go on. I just enjoy games. I've never been big on video games, but sitting around a table with some people and playing a board game, a card game, or a pencil and paper RPG has always been my favorite. Now, Apples to Apples is a party favorite, and it is okay. But if you're reason for not liking it is for it not producing enough laughs or the cards being pretty lame, check out Cards Against Humanity. |

More of a dice game, but Left Center Right is a fun, easy game that even little kids can understand and enjoy.
Tripoly (with the large mat, and not the little plastic tray) is a family favorite, but you really need about 9 people to play. |

I myself have been running some Pathfinder games, as I can't stand the new D&D system. And don't even get me started on the new World of Darkness crap. |

Risk is my all time favorite followed closely by Monopoly.
As far as recent games go, Quelf is great, so is Logo. I really like Apples to Apples and The Game of Things. But I'd have to go with What's Your's Like as my current favorite.

There is this game called Cranium that my wife always makes me play anytime we have people over. It's good fun. Check it out. I think you have to have at least 4 people though.
