Now that you mention it I don't recall seeing him after half time. There has been no mention of injury or even a side line report on his abscence.

Wow, this was a sorry excuse for a game by my Wildcats. They were never the same team after the Baylor game and it shows. It was obvious that ORG had better, faster players and an offense not stuck in the past.
Barner didn't flash any real "speed back" qualities, but he did look solid and carried the ball like a everydown guy. Still ok with him in the 3d/4th. D.Jordan didn't stick out at all but not sure he played the whole game. Brown had a couple of nice plays but also didn't show any real impact. If Klien could throw the dang ball Harper would have had a better game. I still like him as a mid late round guy. B. Wilson FB steam rolled some people and would be worth a look. Klien had a good year but showed nothing in the bowl, wish him the best but he doesn't have NFL skills. |

barner gets killed week 1 in the afc north. man look at the rbs in the afc north.
Cleveland\ Hardesty and trent...both BIG backs Baltimore Ray Rice Bernard Pierce...both BIG backs. Pittsburgh Reshad Mendenhall Johnathan Dwyer Isaac Redmond...all three BIG backs can we please put an end to the talk with all these tiny lil guys. no need for em here, the afcn is big and nasty. |

I started watching that game in the 2nd quarter and could not find Dion Jordan. I'm assuming he wasn't playing as it should be hard to miss a 6'7" DE/LB. Saw him on the sidelines one play move out of the way when a player was going out of bounds. That was impressive. Looked really nimble. *
* in case you weren't sure, yes I was being sarcastic

Both Brown and Jordan were invisible most of the game. Brown did make 1 nice play and I'm not even sure Jordan played much after the 1st quarter (he did score on a 2 point conversion).
KJB did nothing to hurt or help his stock. If you liked him coming in you still do; if you didn't you still don't. Harper looked good in defeat and could be a big sleeper IMO. |

Brown's tape from other games seemed o.k. I'm not sure I've ever seen something I'd throw more than a 3rd at.

Re: Scouting The Fiesta Bowl
B scott got hurt. I dont want another small running back to get hurt in this division. b scott has done nothing here since his arrival. hence his soon departure. Rainey did do well as a returner but he is not a comp back, and never will be full time in pitt, he is a role player/weapon on returns. WE NEED A RUNNING BACK.

Re: Scouting The Fiesta Bowl
hahaha thats what i thought, another one of u haters with nothing of substance outside your one word comment. sit back relax and enjoy what u dont know. i put up facts. gimme a small running back in this division...u cant, outside of rainey and Bscott. And rainey and Bscott are nothing near spectacular in this league. rainey could be a great role player for returns and speacial plays but he isnt an nfl running back, and most cetainley not an afcn running back. |

Lot of people on here mocking us to take Barner....131 yards is nice but damn, he goes down very easy! You blow on this kid and he is likely to go down. But hes fast as hell and has damn good agility.

I like his speed and agility. He is good enough to make people miss. I'd be very happy to have him here as a change of pace back or even to split the carries with BJGE.

ben jarvis is only as good as our offensive line, i dont want barner splitting carries with BJGE i want a running back that can take over the load when the time comes, and barner(becuase of how small he is) has no chance of being that here. Once we have our every down back...which we dont(BJGE is not the guy) then im all for grabbing a comp back.

I will grant you that Barner's size may make it a little more difficult for him, but I'm thinking he'll be a good one. I guess we will see one day.

Barner looked very quick on that TD pass....probably not an every down back, but if there in the 4th round...definitely!
