Time to cut him to the curb. He gets lots of tackles, but they are all 4+ yards later than they should be, and he is somehow never in the right place.

Today he somehow got juked by Foster running in a straight line around the outside. HOW? How does that happen. Should have been a tackle for a loss, and instead gave up a first down.

Not to mention all the sloppy coverage.

what scares me is you throw him in a 3-4 and he will be an above average player I hope the Steelers don't sign him and we get hurt a real bad

Maualuga - let him walk

Thomas Howard - sign him (if he's back to full go)

Sign Daryl Smith of the Jags to FA contract

Move Burfict to MLB

Then you have a starting LB set that goes Howard Burfict Smith

and backups of Draft Pick, Skuta, Lemur, 2nd draft pick

Yeah, Smith isn't real young, but at 30, he should still have a couple of strong seasons left in him. (they say a man reaches his athletic peak at age 32)

He is considered by many to be one of the top 4-3 OLBs in the game right now, good at all 3 areas (blitzing, run defense, pass coverage). Surrounding young Vontaze with all that talent and experience would send his confidence level through the roof, as well as hasten and enhance the development of his already solid skills.
