Can you believe that a guy who dropped 15 pounds to be quicker on his feet was still that slow? Rey has to be the worse MLB I have ever seen.

Who would trade for him? haha

The display he put on tonight was atrocious.

Besides, he's a free agent anyway.

If Rey is on this team next year we are headed in the wrong direction.

Time to cut him to the curb. He gets lots of tackles, but they are all 4+ yards later than they should be, and he is somehow never in the right place.

Today he somehow got juked by Foster running in a straight line around the outside. HOW? How does that happen. Should have been a tackle for a loss, and instead gave up a first down.

Not to mention all the sloppy coverage.

I somewhat defended him before. I'm done.

Cya Rey and take all your fellow USC bums with you.

Please. If they re-sign him and then start him again we have no chance to win the big games. He's terrible. Some people say it's lack of effort. I say it's lack of ability.

Is this even a debate? I'm not even gonna be bothered to read if someone is trying to defend this bum.

He stinks. He's not good enough. He's not going to be good enough. Replace him NOW.

AND HE'S A CAPTAIN!

Only the Bengals....it's embarrassing. It really is.

I am not going to read the whole thread because I can't argue with anyone who defends Rey at this point. I'm not going to bash Rey anymore. I am over it. Rey has to go, period.

Maualuga must go. He's decent against the run but he can cover a pass in the middle to save his life which exposes out entire defense.

It is embarrassing now and just imagine next year how much more embarrassing it will be when we bring him back as our starting MLB.

he had potential and I thought he would have been great here

I was wrong. I was the biggest supporter of Rey and I wanted him in the first so happy I was wrong on that too.

what scares me is you throw him in a 3-4 and he will be an above average player I hope the Steelers don't sign him and we get hurt a real bad

this defense need a leader and is Burfict that in a season or 2

Maualuga seems to have not enough talent and heart

boy was I wrong

I think it is safe to say that wherever he goes, Rey will not hurt us. Unless of course he stays here.

I have an idea for the LB situation.

Lawson - let him walk
Maualuga - let him walk

Thomas Howard - sign him (if he's back to full go)

Sign Daryl Smith of the Jags to FA contract

Move Burfict to MLB

Then you have a starting LB set that goes Howard Burfict Smith

and backups of Draft Pick, Skuta, Lemur, 2nd draft pick

I've got a real, real bad feeling Maualuga is going to be resigned and be back in the middle this comming year. I do hope not.

We're the Bengals. Of course he's going to be re-signed. He's also going to be the team captain. God help us.

I hear you guys and am really hoping he is not re-signed, but I'm not counting on it.

Yeah, Smith isn't real young, but at 30, he should still have a couple of strong seasons left in him. (they say a man reaches his athletic peak at age 32)

He is considered by many to be one of the top 4-3 OLBs in the game right now, good at all 3 areas (blitzing, run defense, pass coverage). Surrounding young Vontaze with all that talent and experience would send his confidence level through the roof, as well as hasten and enhance the development of his already solid skills.

Default Ravens benching Rice

The Ravens have benched Ray Rice because hes not performing. The Ravens coaches make the changes they need to win while Rey Maualuga gives up 13 catches to Texans TE's.

Bench Gresham for Charles.

The Ravens are dominating.
