Now we see why Palmer and others leave Cincinnati. We just don't get to SuperBowl level.

I am glad you are not running the team.

I don't know about cleaning house. A couple key pieces in the off season this team can make a run. We need to stop asking so much of Dalton, control the ball and pound teams. I would give this group(with the exception of Jay Gruden, he has to go) another 2 years before I'd consider cleaning house.

No, cleaning house would be a mistake. We're moving in the right direction, we just havent backed it up with a playoff win.
We need a much better replacement for Rey. Im pretty confident the offence can be ok with Sanu back, with some form of pass protection, and with a power back to compliment BJGE/Peerman. Im ok with replacing Gruden/Lewis, but it'd have to be for the right guys. We dont need to clean house. We went 10-6, played abysmally in a playoff game on the road and were one overthrow away from winning. We need consistency, not a brand new team. We should be a lock for the division next year if we continue the way we're going, and hopefully a playoff win will follow. |

total agreement, cleaning house at this point would be ridiculous! Did anyone really think that this team was a super bowl caliber team THIS YEAR? This team is close to being a legit contender but still a piece or two away.

Difference in the game was Houston has three pro-bowlers on their O-Line and the bengals have ZERO. And they covered our TE and we couldn't cover their TE.
That was the ball game. |

It is Dalton. Dalton is on this team. As long as he is on this team and starting this team is not even close to contending.

here is what i think needs to happen in the offseason:
1. Fire Marvin Lewis and promote Zimmer to HC and bring in another DC. Lewis has been here going on 10 or 11 years now and has been unsuccessful in getting this team prepared for any playoff game. They looked lost out there yesterday. 2. Bring in another starting caliber QB to light a fire under Dalton's arse: The competition that would arise from that would only bring success to the position and it would let dalton know that his **** poor play as of late isnt acceptable and that his job isnt completely safe. Alex Smith anyone? 3. Have a long , long chat with Jay Gruden: His play calling as of late has been atrocious as well as the offense. I would tell him to mix it up a little bit more and come up with some more creative playcalling. it seemed as if our offense was rather predictable. 4. Address some needs in the offseason and draft: LB to replace Maualuga, he has just plain ****** and hasnt played to expectations TE to compete with stone hands gresham ( maybe its orson charles, IDK) WR to take some heat off AJ: We still dont have a legit #2 to take some heat away from our #1. we get that and we could get some more production from our #1 in the playoffs.Draft one or sign a WR in FA? Miles Austin or a draftee sounds good to me. OL: even with the good play from zeitler and whitworth, Our Oline is still getting blown up by guys like JJ Watt and any good Dlineman. I think we should look into drafting another OL high in the draft or sign a very serviceable vet. These are the things i think should happen in the offseason. Do i think all of this will happen, no but i do think that some of them should.

I support Andy Dalton 100 percent. Some fans expect too much too soon or from too little. Dalton is not the problem. Sometimes I think the only reason people gripe about him is because they have nothing better to do or simply like to read the word of their own writing, similar to when people complaining just to hear the sound of their own voice. If the world has no faith in me, Then I have no faith in it. Prosperity should not be shared with those who did not earn it. Last edited by Dalton's_Gang; 01-06-2013 at 09:14 AM. |

![]() I wouldn't be totally depressed if Marvin were fired (in fact, I'd prefer it)... but sadly that is just never going to happen. If Jay was in complete control of the offense last night, then he REALLY needs to go. However, none of us know exactly how much of a say he has in the offense: either Marvin is handcuffing him and telling Jay what type of play to call (there is video evidence of Marvin doing that in the past) ... or Gruden is Bratkowski 2.0. What do you think is more likely? Talent-wise, this team needs a WR, a Center, a RB, and LB in that order (two of which are probably already on the roster). Coaching wise... we need a lot of help. Doesn't Jay Gruden have an interview with the Eagles today?? Be careful what you wish for folks... Gruden may indeed be a Bratkowski clone... but if he leaves for Philly and the 3rd OC under Marvin calls the same, predictable and/or stupid plays... what more proof will you need? |

1.Defense wise I think were in good shape overall resign M.J. and Pacman, Rey and Lawson's contracts are up let them walk, Maybe resign Howard cheap then move Vontaze to the middle and draft a safety for the future
2.Offensive wise we need a speed/ change of pace back , a veteran wide out that runs reliable routs and can meteor the young guys , upgrade the center position and I think we should start Sanu @ the slot over Hawkins when he returns , Hawkins makes plays sometimes but he has many limitations dude to his height not a reliable target more of a situational player |

Something has to be done period!! You play the season to win a super bowl I am getting sooo tired of hearing the same old **** from the suppose faces of the franchise. We just have to play better, we have to make one more play, I should of thrown to my star receiver more....are you kidding me my 5 year old niece asked were AJ green was yesterday in the 2nd quarter!! These guys are pros and make millions of dollars and what they are selling is junk! I don't ***** much but come on you play for the game in February I could less if the team is 16-0 because at our rate we will get bounced in round round easily. Marvin can not win the big ones and honestly dalton can not either they used the still young term for the last 2 years what's the excuse gonna be next year?
