Honestly though, some rollouts, some short passes over the middle to the backs or WRs crossing....anything, any sort of adjustment or pre-planning against a good front would have been nice. Instead, it was the same offense we see every week. No twists, no adjustments, no plan other than to hand it off or throw out patterns. Of course, Gresh(stonehands) dropping 3 passes and blockers missing their blocks on designed screens didn't help. The defense did exactly what i feared they'd do. Came out with just a 4 man rush and everyone else in a deep zone. Did someone not tell Zim that Houston has a good, big line and they routinely line up 2 TEs? The D-linemen barely sniffed Schaub and still, virtually no adjustments from Zim all game. All kinds of bullets left in the gun as the final horn sounded. Would a couple roll outs or a few wildcat formations with Peerman have been out of the question?

About the only thing different was they had Adam Jones returning all kicks until he got dinged and Marv didn't lose both of his challenges in the first half.

Other than that, it was the same uninspired effort that we saw in '09 and '11.

Plenty of work needed before.......next year. ugh.

I don't understand how people can just stop being a fan of a team because of some pathetically bad luck. I've been a fan of the Pitares since I was 5 way back in 1981. I have never witnessed them winning the World Series, yet I would never stop being a fan. They could go 0-162 for the next 10 years and I would still root for them every game. If you can just stop rooting for a team because they're losing, then you never really were a fan to begin with.

I swear, its embarassing to have to throw my hat in with some of these blasted idiots that troll these boards after a Bengals loss.

Maybe that's why I refuse to hang out with other Bengals fans - bunch of ****ing whiners.

3 of the last 4 years the team is in the playoffs. When Dave Shula was here just getting to .500 would have been nice.

Yes they looked bad today, but they didn't secure a top 5 pick by Nov like the 90's.

Changes need to be made, but damn, jumping off the ship now is just sad.
x2

Plus we've at least been to the dance twice as an organization. Think of the many who haven't even done that. Playoffs for 3 of 4 years and wants out??? We need to get homefield advantage next season. Sixth seeds rarely do much.

Hey there little fella, look on the bright side. The bengals offense scored 6 points against the Texans. That's a 3 point improvement over what they did against the Steelers. Things may be looking up for you after all.

He says he's going to remain a Bengals fan and I'll take him at his word, but I'm somewhat amused by the notion of him jumping ship to the Vikings - pun intended - and choosing the user name "Purple Nerkle".

It's not many, it's 4 teams the Texans, the Jags, the Browns, and the Lions.

Except... maybe win Superbowls. Kinda like that team in 2005 that had a bus as a player. Remember that team?

What part of the word "rarely" did you have trouble with?

I received infraction points for suggesting the only thing we can do to make changes is wait for him to die, so you better be careful
