I don't think that will happen again after today. At one point he was throwing to Gresham because the coverage dictated it. By the fourth quarter I saw him trying to force it into other receivers despite an open Gresham, and I can't say I blame him for doing so.

Does he improve our offense? NO!!!! Id trade his *** in a New York minute.........he is good for at least 1 drop and 1 critical penalty every fregging game.........major disappointment.

Gresh and the linebackers were the reasons we lost. Not the coaching refs etc...

Gresh is the most frustrating player on the roster because he is such an athletic beast but the dude has so many bad moments in both the blocking game and the receiving game. He needs to be more consistent and more physical. Like he was in the chiefs game.

Gresham needs to be put on notice next year. He gets 1 more.

Re: Jermaine Gresham
Give him a few more years, he'll come out of it, that's what everyone says about the red headed mistake.

Does anyone know how many drops and fumbles Gresh had this year?
I already know he's a bad blocker.

He stinks when it matters. Stats matter little when you're a continual loser with the same problems year after year.

How many Texans could he run over if he'd have caught the 4-5 balls he dropped??

I know that one player usually can't cost a team a game and this could have made no difference, especially since it was so early, but if Gresham doesn't drop that pass on third down on the opening drive, it's a whole new ballgame.
It puts together a decent drive after forcing a three-and-out by the Texans and we'd likely only need fifteen more yards to at least get a field goal, which demoralizes the home team. It also would have given the offense confidence and then also the defense because they know that the offense can capitalize when they give them good field position. And then, at the end of the second half, it wasn't as easy as the first one, but he dropped another ball when we were already in Texans territory. Two plays that could have set the momentum or changed the score. That begs the question.............. did Gresham bet on the Texans? And why didn't we use Charles at all?

Its a team loss but the game plan was obviously to make him the primary weapon and he didn't deliver. He was a big part of it.

He had a bad game. No denying that.
I'd say Dalton was more to blame. |

As for Charles...they appear to use him to block because Gresham can't block either.

Of course...fans always blame the qb. Dalton can't run the routes to get open or catch the passes or pass block.

Gresham is possibly the 3rd best TE in Cincy; behind Charles and Kelce.

No Houston was a better team. They ran the ball better got more pressure on the QB, out coached us.

it was a team loss. I put more of this loss on Dalton and Gruden.
if Gresham dropped a TD in the end zone in the 4th q. yes I can pin it on Gresham. When one of my players drops a pass,as a rule I go right back to him to show him I have confidence in him and to build his confidence. It looked like to me when Gresh dropped that pass,Dalton lost faith in him and didn't even bother looking his way the rest of the game. c'mon, get real Gresham didn't cost us the game. |
