Default Maualuga playing out of position

I think the Bengals should try to put Maualuga back at playing SAM or WILL. Instead of just cutting him. He is a team leader in the locker room and just playing out of position on the field.
Then try Burfict in the middle.
Just a thought

I just want the stink of him gone from this franchise. I can't imagine how he can have enough credibility as a player to really be a leader. He's probably better suited as a bouncer, provided he doesn't have to catch anyone.

I agree about moving Rey, but would he be ok with it or see it as a demotion? Would that kill his mindset?

Don't know about Burfict in the middle because he's said that he likes playing on the outside in space with freedom to move more.

Rey's done in this league after his showing on the national stage on Saturday. His stock has to be at an all time low. That's likely as bad as it's been for a player to be singled out and picked on so obviously throughout a playoff game. I felt bad for him.

I would rather they just go ahead and let him walk. We, as fans, knew how bad he was and now the entire world knows how bad he is. He got torched all day long. Whenever the Texans needed a first down, who do you think they picked on? Rey. When they ran the ball, where did they run it? Right down Reys throat. Come to think of it, did Rey even touch Foster?

Rey better not be wearing a Bengals jersey next year and if he does, it better be as a back up. I do not know what I will do if I see his *** with a Captian C on his jersey and starting in the middle.

This might be the biggest disappointment I have had in a player. I remember when we drafted him in the second round, I went nuts thinking we got a steal. Started pointing my fingers at my Browns friends and laughing at them for not drafting him in the second round before us. Boy was I wrong. I even bought is jersey. I no longer have that. It is a pile of ashes!

The coaches have to be seeing the same stuff we saw right? There is no way they will resign him right?

Too slow to be on the edges. I think Brufict to the middle, Thomas Howard should be brought back...Guy like Lamur is intersting. I think they need to look long and hard this offseason at working Taylor Mays at OLB for passing downs

Unfortantely the Rams stole the MLB of that draft...

Let Rey M Walk...

Its addition by subtraction cause it couldnt be much worse at MLB.

He's not good in pass coverage. He's also not a good pass rusher. Those are drawbacks to OLB's.

He hasnt shown any flashes from his college tape... which is whats most disappointing I thought we were getting a wild beast... instead we got a timid squirrel

Any more with the draft...the guys that slide for on field reasons...end up sliding for a reason and it gets validated once they start playing.

It seems like the guys that slide for character issues usually perform ok on the field, but questionably off.

Honestly, he was probably at his best as a rookie. He appears to be mechanical out there and think way too much.

I think his biggest problem is no athleticism. He looks the part and it ends right there.

Let him walk. He is too slow for SAM or WLB (you don't remember the pass coverage when he was SAM????) and your backup LBs are usually used in special teams (which he would also be to slow for). Bring in young fast legs that want to hit people (que video of Tyron Taylor week 17)

I remember hearing how he had been playing out of position before, and when he moved to MLB he would be a beast.

Well yea Rey was playing out of position this year and the past 3, he's been playing in the NFL. This guy should have never ever ever been drafted. He only looked good cause of the supporting cast from USC, he was slow, could never shed blockers, always out of position. The game was WAY to fast for him and he won't amount to anything here.
