Cedric Benson vs. Jay Gruden

DO you all remember last year when Jay called out Benson for always wanting the ball and not being a team player???? I now see where Benson's frustration came from after the last 3-4 weeks of this season.


Just thought that was funny.

No I still think Benson is an selfish a-hole! It's not like he was Adrian Peterson... Benson wanted to run the ball 30 plus times a game. The guy was a true cancer.

Considering Benson's 7 carries for 14 yards in the playoffs, Did you forget why everyone else was frustrated with Benson?

I wasn't saying bring the guy back or he never should have left. I was gald he went. I am just saying it is ironic that he complaained about not getting enough carries and now we are complaining about Gruden not giving our RB enough carries.

Not really, fans complain about everything. If you haven't noticed at the end of every season fans want EVERYONE CUT AND FIRED! The only players that aren't cut or fired are AJ Green and Geno Aktins. According to our fans everyone is GONE!

But its not just our team you can go to any NFL message board on any team. Everyone is cut and fired.

Sorry man, but Cedric Benson was frustrated the entire time he was here. Oh, and he was frustrated in Chicago too. He just wasn't a team player. He wanted 100% of the carries and didn't care if it was good for the team or not. He was only concerned about his totals and his next contract. Period. He complained about his carries after a WIN for pete's sake.

Exactly if he produced like Adrian Peterson then MAYBE MAYBE he would have a point, but Ced never did. If we were down 21 points he would still want to run the ball to get back into the game. If he fumbled 3 times a game he still would whine that he needs more carries. If he averaged 2-3 yards a carry he would cry saying he needs more carries to get going. The guy was a cancer!

One misconception is that getting your RB 20+ carries causes your team to win.

It's more like the other way around. Winning teams tend to hand the ball off more to milk the clock.

Ced Benson...71 carries.

Green bay might be looking to draft a RB this year.

Thank god Benson didn't go beat up his boyfriend again after being called out. He's got anger issues.



I can't blame Benson for wanting the ball more. He's a RB and that's what he's paid to do, and not sit on the sideline. All players want to play as much as possible because that's their job. That said, i'm glad he's gone. Not for that reason, but because he was a 4 YPC plodder that had no burst and often fell forward on most runs.

Yeah when your up by 21 your going to run the ball a lot to milk the clock. If your down by 21 your going to pass the ball to play catch up. Every game and situation is different. You should be smart enough to understand this. It's not like oh lets run it 25 times that guarantees a win! Other wise why not run it the first 25 times and call it a day. Your smarter than this.
