"We both love the game and get fired up. If you ask him he was right, if you ask me I am right."

You don't want your line calling out your QB.
Everyone was complaining about chemistry with Cook back.
How do you think it would be if your center was calling out your QB?

He would say that because he got treated like a peon in the middle of the field in front of a national audience by a guy who was wrong.

Dude, he is a three time NT. He won the Remington and has had a 4.0 all thw way through college.
He is the leader of that team I have seen it personally. Do you understand that HE is the leader of a team that won 3 National Titles. HE is that teams leadre so he CAN get away with that at Bama.
I highly doubt he would act that way at the next level at least until he becomes the leader of that team also. Which he will.

I don't care if he is Gandhi.
You don't act like that on national TV.
Do YOU understand that acting like a child and having to get the last word in like he did won't be viewed as a GOOD thing by NFL GMs?

I haven't met J.Luigs but I have met Jones,Aikman,Witten and other pros.
I know what a pro looks and acts like. These men are all the epitomy of excellent leaders of men.
Besides the fact that you don't like him will not change the fact that he is gonna be very good at the next level.
I would rather have the monster on my team with me than on another against me.

Dude. Meeting him is really cool.
No doubt.
I've met Rey several times. He is a genuinely nice guy. Which is why I defend him when he is attacked as a person.
Doesn't mean I want him on this team right now in 2013.

He didn't really call him out. He just said that he was right. It's not like he ripped on AJ.

No doubt, actually I will probably see him again sometime this spring or summer. He frequents a place that I play music.
That asside I just think he will be that good. He is a smart cat.I mean you can carry on an intelligent conversation with the dude and he can play football.
I like his versatility and I think he would be a huge upgrade for Cincy's o-line.
He is immediately the teams best center and can play guard if need be.Heck he could probably play RT in a pinch.
That's why I like him.
Draft the kid and keep Robinson.

What if your QB was Mark Sanchez?

He's a leader among men and a really good dude. He could also play any three of the interior line spots and Tackle in a pinch. I would be overjoyed if the Bengals draft him and Lacey.
I guess I don't get the title of your thread. Who are the "haters"?

Guys that don't want to draft him in the first round?

I don't see him as a huge need to be honest. I also think there are much larger holes that need to be filled.

Myron Rolle carried himself extremely well and was a great leader. That doesn't always translate to success on the next level.

That being said, Jones will be a Pro-Bowler at some point in his career. I just doubt it will be here.

If were going to take a center, it better be Frederick from Wisconsin. Ive watched a couple games that Barret Jones got manhandled, granted, everyone does at some point, but Frederick is humungous and comes from a school who has proven to produce the BEST linemen in the game!

Give me Frederick.

Barrett Jones - C - Crimson Tide

Alabama senior C Barrett Jones admitted during a postgame interview that he played in the BCS Championship with a Lisfranc injury.
He will undergo surgery in the next day or two. We all knew Jones' foot was hurt, but this is fairly shocking news because many NFL players' seasons end with a Lisfranc injury. We guess Jones won't be playing in the Senior Bowl, and teams will need to decide how much they value you the toughness compared to selecting an injured player.
he is tough

That's the exact mentality I want from my Olinemen. AJ was in the wrong looking like a spazz, even if Barrett made a mistake AJ should keep his cool slightly more than what was shown on tv last night.
Olinemen are easily just as important as the QB. But I understand they're not more important. A team needs linemen to keep ***** in check and a QB needs his LT and C to trust and "die" for him

I want our first pick to be Barrett Jones, Cook is horrible! O-Line is everything, the center is probably the most important position on the line.

Jones is one of the best character guys in the draft he finished his schooling in 3 years in accounting and in his free time he goes on mission trips. He would be great for our line because he is smart and can read defenses and great for our city because he loves giving back. Although many see the line as a lesser need with Wharton coming back and Robinsons progression Jones would be an immediate improvement in the interior of the the line and could move to LT when Whit hangs it up.

Even if we don't start him at center we could slide him over at guard if Wharton isn't ready. Then when we do want him at center we can start him maybe in his 2nd or 3rd year. We kind of did this on the other side of the ball at Middle linebacker with Rey, and now are doing it with Burfict.
