OK, by now most of you realize that I'm not a draftnik, by any stretch. I do think that it is fun to mock, and here is what I would do, if I were calling the picks...
1. Barkevious Mingo - LSU ![]() Just hoping he's there at 21 2A Alec Ogletree - UGA 2B Travis Frederick - Wisconsin ![]() 3 Robert Lester - Alabama ![]() 4 Ricky Wagner - Wisconsin ![]() 5 Aaron Mellette - Elon ![]() 6A Zac Stacy - Vanderbuilt ![]() 6B Reid Fragel - OSU Fragel was a TE at OSU, before bulking up and moving to T

What about Lester is it that you don't like? I mean, I haven't exactly watched as much of his play as I have most of the others in the mock, so I'm not as keen on his faults.

Dude I like mingo.if he falls then hell ya. Alec is a freak athlete so I cant say id be mad. I think running back needs to be top priority. Too many runs this year couldve been housed with an elite back...id rather not wait as long as u did. I say if we have a chance to get lacy in rd 1 or 2 u get him...our offense as a whole including dalton becomes alot better

Yeah, I like Swearinger, a lot, but I think he'll be gone by the middle of the 3rd. Rambo, would be a good option. Not quite as familiar with Jefferson and Williams.

I see Stacy as someone who could bring that explosive dimension to the backfield. At 5'9" and 210, he is a fast bowling ball to bring down. I see him like a Ray Rice type on the screen pass.

Well, I considered using him as a RB, as a given. The guy is flat-out good. Good top speed, great burst, awesome cuts due to that low center of gravity, built like a brick, bounces off of tackles. What's not to like?

No dude I obvi knew u wanted him at RB but alot of people want a bjge complimentry back(a small tiny type)...id like to have an every down back...I knew who stacy was but hadnt seen much. Now that I have. I dig him...alot. And if u know anything about football, u know that someone of stacys size is huge!!! He has tree trunks for legs!! Good feet and initail burst. . Theres a running back in every round id like us too grab. Stacy falls in that category now. Y is he projected so late? Is there a catch ha

That would be a pretty boss draft in my mind.

Mingo is scary good but will he weigh enough to hold the edge in a 43. I would put Dion Jordan in the same catagory. I would think that both have the frame to add weight but I could be wrong. I think MJ was around 260 when he was drafted.

Jefferson is the hybrid type player that Zimmer likes, only knock on him is he's only 5'11. Has experience playing CB too. If he was 6'2 he'd be a 1st rounder. He led his team in tackles to I believe(well over 100).

Sunset: for argument's sake (I don't necessarily mean the bad connotation this word usually gets) explain your plan for Mingo. I'm curious.

I totally agree! Some of them runs he just lowered the shoulder and plowed on through.

one game doesn't kill a career, if that was the case many good players would be out of the league now.

If Zac Stacy played behind Bama's OL, he would have been the heisman winner, by a runaway. (no pun intended)

Not convinced Mingo lasts to 21, or where he plays in our defense. I think his best fit is a 3-4 OLB.
The Bengals are not drafting a C. The rest is ok, but it would be nice if you include positions in your mock, I'm not familiar with all of these guys.

I'm with bfine on this. There are better safeties out there. From what I've seen of him, he's not physical enough to play SS in the NFL, and he's not great in coverage. His INT totals are deceiving.
