Needless to say this season was a pleasant surprise, I have no complaints.

I see progress and that is all you can ask for.

We had a 10-6 season, controlled our own destiny, beat the two division rivals we had not beaten yet, finished the year playing well rather than limping into the playoffs, and had the same record as the team that won the division. Youre right...that wasnt any better.

We lost to a 12 win team.....who was rhe AFC 1 seed and favorite to make the SB most of the season....on the road....as an underdog....while getting virtually nothing from our 2012 draft picks (other than Zeitler)....with a young team with many first, second or third year players. I agree with Denny.
Lets see if they retain mj andre etc and how they address problem spots.
You have to give management and coaches great credit for very good progress.

Oh believe me, I wasn't crying at all this year. I agree this is a sign of many good years to come but I only feel that is possible if we loose Lewis! Simply because we can't afford to loose Zimmer & I think he's the guy to get the job done!!!

In the NFL success doesn't always carry over from one year to the next.

Ive heard that one before too. Who made that thread claiming it was the fans fault we lost all those home games?

BTW baltimore handed us our arses beginning of the year,,,pitt beat us once (with a badly banged up team) We barely beat pitt the 2nd time around (still with a banged up team they had) and the ravens game,,,blah, they yanked their starters in the 1st quarter and some of you act like that was some sort of achievement to beat them lol,,,we were having trouble with their scrub players with half our starters still out there.

Those of you who are ready to jump off a cliff with all this gloom and doom, get over yourselves, none of you thought they would probably even get as far as they did. The threads and posts when the Bengals were 3-5 prove that.

The Bengals, by most accounts were a year away anyways, that year starts now. With a great defense, core offensive players, a dabble of tweeks in FA and a good draft the Bengals are poised to compete for championships!

So quit your crying and lets get ready for a great 2013! The time is now Bengaldome!

You copy and paste this type of post every season just change the years.

We have been waiting 22 years........

I agree, Denny. I've always had hope the Bengals would do much better each year, but now I expect it. I expect we'll win the division and have more than one playoff win next year. I'm expecting it, and I look forward to it. I love me some Bengals.

Either that or become a Cowboy fan and see what an idiocy organization is really like. You have an owner who fired his head coach after consecutive Super Bowl wins and has allowed a QB to hang around for 10 years with ONE playoff win!!!!

If the Bengals upset you that much, then simply go put on a Browns #3 jersey or a Steelers #7 and
support them.
Of all the AFC North teams there isn't any team who's future is brighter than the Bengals.
Solid core of young guys THAT WANT TO PLAY HERE!
This isn't the days of Spikes and Housh that wanted out.
I'm excited about the 2013 season.
Or a Cowboys jersey................after all...............they ARE America's team...........aren't they???

Speaking of the Ravens, how did they win a playoff game with a 5th year QB who finished 3 slots (25) below Andy Dalton (22) in the final QB rankings???????????

Second, I don't know what you mean by "a dabble of tweeks" in free agency, but if it's anything like what we did last year, that won't cut it. We're currently at 55 million in cap space. Andre and MJ are the only big free agents that are due big contracts right now. We should be able to spend a bit more than we have in recent years, and we could use upgrades at several spots.

Marvin and Mike are probably copying and pasting as we speak!!

Fair enough, now share the Steelers success story their first 40 years in the NFL. Let's hope our nsecond 40 is half as good as the Steelers second 40. If you look atthe two forst 40, we dominated what the Steelers did so there is hope.

By the way, Steelers had the same family of owners the entire time through the very bad and the very good.

Romo didn't start a game until 2006.

So what's more idiotic?

Keeping a QB for 7 years with 1 playoff win?

Or keeping a HC for 10 years with 0 playoff wins?
