For me it is

1. Momentary lapse in reason

2. Meddle

3. Dark side/ The Wall

4. Animals/Wish you were here

5. Obscured by clouds.

I am probably in the small minority but I personally like momentary the most. Meddle is close. And the others are not far behind. My favorite song is learning to fly.

Animals
Meddle
Darkside

Darkside is amazing, but for most was my introduction to Floyd and most played out. Animals holds a hefty lead in my favorite list.

I can't quantify which is the best. Almost any mood has a corresponding Pink Floyd album. Some moods are even best for the crazy singles before they did albums, from the days when Syd wrote most of their stuff.

by far, my favorite frikkin thread since i joined this board. I am a floyd-akholic. Have been as long as i can remember. There is really a floyd song for every damn emotion, state of mind feeling you want to experience. I am an experienced practitioner of mind altering substances and floyd has always been there to take me on a great frikkin ride every time!

Guess it just depends on your "flavor" of music.
always was more of a Zeppelin guy myself... But i like floyd and some beatles work as well.

My dad was a Zeppelin nut so i probly got more exposer to that and the fact a lot of their songs tie into the Lord of the Rings universe and i was read that as a child hooked me that way.

Floyd makes great songs though. One of my favorites i dont know the title but he was running from the sun.

For me it's always been:

The Final Cut
Wish you Were Here
Obscured by Clouds

But you can't go wrong with any of them really.

I know. People always want to discard it as the Wall Part 2. I've always liked it better and Two Suns in the Sunset is my all time favorite Floyd song.
