Default Zimmer named head coach (UNCONFIRMED)

Of the San Diego Chargers. At least it's not Cleveland.

Link?

The Chargers just named a GM. I don't see how they could have interviewed and hired Zimmer already. Are you sure it's not just that he's setup to interview there?

It isn't yet....but don't get excited. I read something earlier that said the list of people the new GM wants is down to Bruce Arians, Jim Mora, and Mike Zimmer.

*Sigh* Of course Zimmer deserves his chance of being a Head Coach, I just do not want him leaving Cincy.
The defenses in Cincinnati before Zimmer were absolutely horrid, and I would prefer not to go back to that.

Greg Roman as well, the OC for the 49ers. The Chargers new GM has a very strong relationship with Roman, so he could be the favorite in the clubhouse...

Hmmmm....maybe. This is the latest article that I could find. It's only from about a half hour ago.

Hopefully, you're right, and there are even more candidates. I'd like to keep Zimmer just a little while longer.

A little part of me died inside when I saw this thread and, even though it's not true, I'll never get that part of me back.
