I don't know if it's quite that bad. Slurry for sure, but I'm not sure if a Native American would view it as this bad. Maybe though,..I'm not a Native American after all. It should at least be considered.

so all of a sudden in 2012 its a bad name?

why now and not at any other point from 1937-present?

this is just a stupid idea, and the guy should worry about himself instead of the name of a football team, that doesnt have any team facilities in "his" town

Being part Cherokee I don't think they should have change their name. However I call them the Washington RGIIIs not because I think Redskins is racist, but because I like saying Washington RGIIIs more.

I think its one of those things that will (and probably should) be talked about, but in the end there will be no significant changes. Racism is second nature in the history of that franchise anyways.

I was replying to Trademark saying they shouldn't be called the Washington Redskins since they play in Maryland.

it would be a waste of time to talk about it, and there are more important issues for the league to discuss, instead of wasting time on a politicians opinion
