I wouldn't want either of the Ryan brothers in Cincy. I can't stand their egos. It's one thing to be fiery and talk a little smack when you back it up. Those two run their mouth and then stick their foot in it. No thanks to Ryan.

I do like a lot of the other names coming up in this thread though.

The Jags just fired Mularkey... they will probably interview Zimmer as well.

If Gruden leaves I wouldn't mind Mularkey coming here, he did a good job developing Matt Ryan.

Whoever gets the Jags job will have a QB triad of Gabbert, Tebow and Henne. He'd better be a defensive coach.

I could see that honestly, the Raiders receivers have a lot of speed and could be really good in the Air Coryell offense, but the Raiders have good receiving options at TE and RB in Myers and McFadden respectively, but he doesn't use those 2 positions in the passing game much.

He did a good job involving perry in the pass game in 05... Here our TE coach isnt that good and we only had reggie kelly most of his years. When he started working TEs into his play book we had Dan Coates.

Jags will likely sign SF OC. No worries about Zim going there. Not many places are looking for DC's as head coaches this go round. Might buy us another year.

I am not advocating for this btw, I hope we get a big name guy. I actually would not mind seeing Lovie Smith or Romeo Cornell. I also would be curious if Ray Horton might be interested, I hear he has done really well in Arizona. Then again, I am not an expert, I am guessing here.

I would also be intrigued about bringing Ray Lewis in as DC, it is a big gamble, but no one I have ever seen at the MLB position has been more of a coach on the field. He is a great motivator and I would like to stick a thumb in the Ratbird's eye by bringing his fire to our team. This is more fanciful thinking and I am pretty sure it would not happen.

If Zimmer leaves, I'd like to see what Mark Carrier can do with a defense. He played safety and has coached Dline and DBs. I know he's only been here a season, but with his background, he seems like a logical choice.
