but we are still linked to every guy thats ever arrested and are the Jail birds of the NFL dispite the Eagles Starting a dog killer and the Ravens a murder. (is stallworth still in the league?)

Steelers have arrest every offseason. And im surprised a Lion isnt in jail yet.

Because players with off Field Issues are what we are trying to get away from. We are building a different culture here. With guys we wont have to worry about getting suspended for stupid acts like this.

Sure rainey might be useful but somehow I feel if he was in the plans for the steelers next year he still be a steeler now.

You're right, but the media and ignorant NFL fans in general never give us a break. Even today, I can't go anywhere wearing Bengals gear without hearing a convict joke...

First round: David DeCastro, G, Stanford. Severely injured his knee in the third preseason game and returned to play the last three games.

Second round: Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State. Placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury after starting six games.

Third round: Sean Spence, ILB, Miami. Tore multiple ligaments in his left knee in preseason finale and placed on injured reserve before regular season started.

Fourth round: Alameda Ta'amu, NT, Washington. Arrested for drunken driving in October, which led to his release a month later. He was later re-signed.

Fifth round: Chris Rainey, RB, Florida. Arrested for simple battery Thursday. He had 162 total yards and two touchdowns as a rookie. (4:12 p.m. ET update: The Steelers have waived Rainey.)

Ummm, Cowher did not do the drafting and neither does Tomlin.

Their General Manger Kevin Colbert does all the drafting and his right hand man Omar Khan does all the signing of players. It is the job of the coach to develop the drafted players, not draft them nor scout them.


Why do people have misconceptions on who does the drafting and the scouting for the Steelers???
