Default Cowboys hire Monte Kiffin as defensive coordinator
Spent 26 years as an NFL assistant, including a 13 year run as defensive coordinator of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Son Lane Kiffin is head coach at Southern Cal and is also former coach of the Raiders.

Didn't see that coming. Dude is like **** LeBeau-old.

Can't really see Dallas switching to a Tampa-2, though.

IMO, This is one of the worst hire of the year. You can't move to a 4-3 defense with this personnel in place. Demarcus Ware as a DE? C'mon son! I know **** Lebeau is older, but he's been a DC forever. Rob Ryan for Monte Kiffin...Bad trade!

So you fire Rob Ryan, that had nearly every starter on defense hurt, and you think hiring a 73 coach that failed in college with any five star recruit he wanted is an upgrade Jerry? Scratching my head on this. And please don't give me they "didn't have the depth because of scholarship reductions" argument. When you have that much talent, you have no business losing 5-6 games.
