When you have an offensive line that keeps your QB clean all day.
We, on the other hand, rotate centers lol

The Texans have been struggling the last 6 games or so. Infinitely beatable.

Frustrating isn't it?

They made a lot of mistakes against us too. Andre Johnson dropped a TD. Daniels had a drop.
The most frustrating part was our offense playing bad, but our defense didn't play great. I expected 5 sacks as they've been struggling to protect Schaub. We're just light years away from an elite team and its going to take spending to get us there. |

Note that the Patriots are running a lot of quick little screen/trap type plays to the sides of the field - and burning the Texans with them. Also they have a MUCH quicker RB than we do. Both are factors so far.
Really our offense is WAY too vanilla. No traps, no draws, no real screens, no rolling pockets, nothing. It lets pressure defenses tee off on our OL which lacks experience on the inside and cohesion overall. |

Its easy to score on the Texans when you actually target your playmakers.........and they catch it.

The Patriots running game much better this year than last year. Wonder why?

I think a Wallace or Jennings and a drafted Rb that can catch goes s long way. We need a couple lbs too. Its near impossible to upgrade 5 positions without free agency. |

If we get a real #2 WR either early in the draft or FA while letting Sanu work inside, a RB that can actually take it to the house, Get Orson Charles more playing time, let Boiling and Zeitler get some more experience and get a C in the draft then our Offense can be much better. Few LBs and a S on D and were looking even better. |

Theres a bit more to it then that. namely offensive talent.

This is why I would not have minded playing the Patriots in the first round.

And you have a gameplan that does not include purposely shutting down your own #1 playmaker

Our D put up 7 points on the board and gave up 19 points this is acceptable when your O puts up 6 points the whole game. The 6 points the O put up is unacceptable we was getting 5 yards per carry and only carried it 12 times.Bad choices all year from what personal to keep to play calling and who to play and who not to play it all falls on the OC cause his head will be the first one to roll when people get fired to fix the problem.

Re: It's easy to score on the Texans...
We do not rotate centers. Robinson got a chance because of an injury. If not for the injury . No one would know who Robinson was. Cook was the starter. He was healthy and it was his job. I am sure in camp they will both be given a chance at the job. However, we do not rotate centers.

It is easy to see the recipe for success from the last 4 teams left in Playoffs.
They all have UofL Cardinals on team. Atlanta- Harry Douglas 49ers- David Akers NE- Deon Branch (former SB MVP) Balt- Chris Johnson The Bengals need to somehow rectify this in off season if we are serious about Playoff success. lol

We instead try to reinvent the wheel for our playoff game and run plays we haven't ran all year, good idea huh ? Bob Bratkowski did the same thing, he's gone now but it continues....hmmmmmmm ??? Our lack of a true philosophy, a true system, planing our work and working our plan bites this team again and again !!

Offensive coaching of the Patriots seems light years ahead of the Bengals. The whole scheme and timing is so much better.
The Patriot's offense attacks the defense. Instead, the Bengals seem to react to the defense and seems predictable and slow. Another thing that drives me crazy...I don't see Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and a lot of other QB's looking to the sideline for every play. I know Dalton is not close to their level, but c'mon. He seems like an intelligent guy, and probably knows the playbook...unleash the guy and let them speed it up a bit and keep the defense on their heels (Like the Patriot's did to the Texans today). Thank you for taking care of that exaggeration.

Let me say that I am a Bengals fan period, but I also give credit where credit is due.
Say what you wish about the Texans, but I've been watching Brady his whole career, and he is definitely in a league by himself and everyone else, Peyton and Rodgers included, are in a distant second and further down! Other teams cannot compare themselves to any other teams that NE plays because it's apples and oranges when NE plays them. If I were the New York Giants, I would consider myself very lucky to have beaten them in those 2 Super Bowls, because I can tell you this, if they were to play each other 10 Sundays in a row, the Patriots would win 8 or 9 of them. Love or hate him, he is the best EVER..........to have played the game up to now! |

I'm pretty sure they did it multiple games. I remember talking about it in game threads two weeks in a row.
