You can't seriously expect a head coach or DC to go out in a presser and say that the MLB stinks, and there's nothing that they can really do about it until the offeseason. They did their best to try and keep Maualuga propped up, even gave him the captain label.

I'm betting that both Marvin and Zimmer are mighty relieved that Rey's contract is up.

Yeah, I was talking about this the other day, another side reason the Howard injury hurt so much, in forced Burfict into WLB and left us with no better options at backup MLB. Would bring up a good hypothetical question though, if Howard was never injured, How long until Burfict would have been playing MLB (if ever)?

I'm still not sold on the rankings by PFF - but I would agree with them on their assessment of Rey, It is unfortunate that the guy I loved watching in college has been this bad. However, if the Bengals want to get better, they can do so easily. Heck, Skuta is better. He appears to be trying.

Just real sad disappointment as this was one that never was and seems like now never will b

I remember when we drafted him I pretty much told everyone I knew he was going to be unreal good

It seems like with all the problems we've had with our high draft lb ie injuries/arrests it would make sense the one who produces is a free agent rookie who most wrote off

Some stats you just cannot argue with. He was worst in the league at his position for yards gained before a tackle.

It would be difficult to imagine anybody with even a mediocre knowledge of the game to really believe Rey is even decent at the MLB position. It is so obvious he painfully bad on the field, just pathetic at best.

The MLB position will be better next year as long as Rey is not back. I couldn't imagine anybody playing worse than he did.

I was down on RM since the middle of last season and didn't care for him at all this season.
If people played a drinking game that every time Ray missed a tackle or took a completely wrong angle they had to take a shot, they would be drunk before half time and have possible liver failure by week 12
