Friend Asked Me To Be In His Wedding

I was best friends with this kid from the time I was born all the way up through like fifth grade, and then we were still friends but just kind of ran around with different people. He was never unpopular but just wasn't in the same group as me and was kind of always on the side.

While I was in a coma, he started hanging around all of the friends that I hung out with that weren't my two best friends in the wreck (started because he started a fantasy football league and then they all just started hanging out).

Anyways, he drops off my winnings from this year (I came in second), and, while he's here, he says "here's the money, and I also wanted to ask you if you'd be in my wedding?"

I just say "you've been my best friend all my life, so you know you don't even need to ask."

I just thought it was cool because I know it's not exactly ordinary to have someone that's crippled be in a wedding.

Go for it, Brad! Just make sure you let the best man know that the bachelor party must be ADA access.

I don't know who the best man is (I assume it's his brother), but we have all the same friends and his brother is family so they'd make sure.

I assume we'll do Vegas but I didn't ask (thought about it but it was a sentimental moment).

That's cool Brad and it is an honor. My brother asked me to be his best man in his wedding and it was very sentimental for me. and just for fun.

As long as you stay at least 10 feet away from the guy with the 7 iron, rubber chicken and a peach scented candle, you will be ok. Just remember to have fun.

Oh, it's ok to be within 10 feet in passing, but not for longer than 17 seconds.
