Saw this last night. Just wondering if anyone else has, and what you thought? I'm holding my opinion until I see what others thought, and whether or not Bumpy's still out there.

Going to see it tonight actually. Have to admit to not being totally excited about this mainly because i got so burned out on the whole subject. After so many years of chasing this guy around, I kinda felt we wanted to keep this moron alive, which kinda sickened me..... which is my general view on politics - sickening

I went and saw it Sunday night. Supposedly it is scary accurate. The 2 1/2 hour run around gets monotonous, as I imagined it would be. Its an interesting movie that is worth seeing because of the effort and impact the situation had, but only once. After watching it I further disagree with some of the current practices in America. Sometimes to get answers, we have to play ball like other countries; things get messy. Overall interesting movie, but wasn't upset when it ended.

Based on how horribly inaccurate "The Hurt Locker" was, I didn't expect much from "Zero Dark Thirty".

Haven't heard anything about it but I want to see it.

What has me hooked is how it was just so many years of searching and then bam-bam, he's dead. I think it will be awesome to see how it all went down and how it happned. Gearing up and going in to kill him just seems so bad-***.

I'll admit, two scenes from the previews got me: the first is where the guy says something like "do you believe it's true? Osama bin Laden?" because the guy just seems so hillbilly like a good ole' Kentucky boy and they really don't understand that it's the biggest man-hunt in history, and the second is when it looks like they're sneaking up on his compound at night with guns out because I'm just thinking "holy ****, it's going down."

I'm anxious to see how they tortured people to find him.

The killing of Osama helped to close the door of cousin dying in the World Trade, but luckily I'll never let the door close on his memories and I think this just kind of says "we got him for ya, brother."

Close to 60 minutes too long, but the rest was worth watching. The very ending was ....... well I'll just say this: it summed up the whole lousy affair very well, as it reflected exactly how I was feeling. I'll hold on details until more chime in on seeing it.

EDIT: Most of the stuff I've seen in the thread is dead on. The movie is nearly 3 hours long. It is inaccurate, at least according to what we've been told for 11 years. And I personally found the ending to be very anti-climatic. I just plain didn't care for it. But other people may like it, just be ready for a "3 hour cruise", and no Mary Ann or Ginger.

This is why I just stream movies into my living room or bedroom and save myself that green.

Moral to the story: there is no defense against insanity. Not very fullfilling, especially for "entertainment".

I have also heard it is not very accurate, for obvious reasons. I have not seen though, just going on what I was told. Now if you want to see a more realistic movie, you have got to check out "We Were Soldiers." This one I did see and it is very realistic. RumbleCat, I don't think it is one you should watch though, even though it is about the 7th Cavalry in Vietnam and their first action against the North Vietnamese.
