I'll be interested to see if the Sandy Hook conspiracy theory gets any play on more mainstream conservative outlets like Fox or Drudge. I'm not sure anyone will touch the idea, and without irrefutable proof, they'd be out of their minds to try.

I've seen this stuff popping up quite a bit in the last few days. I guess now that the kids have been dead for a few weeks it's okay to start denying it happened. Maybe if they get crazy enough, they can get an army of folks together with shovels to dig up the graves just to make sure.

This fight over gun rights is going to get ugly. I don't put and form of mean-spirited stupidity past anyone in this country anymore.

I'd love to make a bet with these brilliant conspiracy theorists. If there are bodies in the graves and they are indeed wrong, then we get to lock them in a room with them for a week.

Yeah, it's amazing. The government and national media are to be scrutinized at any cost, yet some dude on Facebook that you may/may not actually know or the guy that starts the chain letter are always beyond reproach. If you're going to pose as a skeptic to take a political stance, you need to apply the sentiment across the board. I don't believe half of the stuff that I actually SEE on the internet.

Coreographing a conspiracy on this scale would be nearly impossible. Everyone in the town, the federal and state government, and the national news media would have to be on board not just for the actual event, but for preparation as well. People would need to keep their mouths shut, lots of them. People don't keep their mouths shut.

Civilian lawyers would not look into missing soldiers.
Lawyers in general would not look for missing people.
10 years ago we were already in Afghanistan, quite possible he was part of a special operation, in which case there would be no information released.
