I am very happy with the payers we have acquired in the draft and Marv gets his fair share of the credit. I can not on the other hand continue to watch him lose game after game that we would have won if he had a clue how to manage a game, the clock, and above al momentum. LETS MAKE IT 3 in a row to the playoffs>> Marv you might try winnig one of them. or better yet get out of the way!!!

Why does everyone assume Marvin would even want to be a GM in the first place? Although he NEVER looks like it, his passion may be in coaching.

No one assume he wants to be a GM...

Its just. The lack of emotions on the Sideline... the deal he made with brown to get changes. He has a good eye for Defensive talent.


We want him to be GM because we believe he could handle the roll well (better than anyone else with Mike Brown still running the show)

But if he doesnt want to that fine Im sure there will be plenty of teams willing to hire him on as a DC again.

I'm one of the many for "promoting" him to GM and promoting Zim to HC. Whether or not he'd actually want to be a GM is just something that's rarely brought up. I also agree once he's done being a head coach here, DC is probably his ceiling anywhere else.

I think Marvin is a great judge of talent and the past couple of drafts have shown that. Move Marvin to GM and Zimmer to HC and that (in my opinion) would give the Bengals a winning formula!

The only problem with that fact is he is not a leader and would someone take the challenge flag from him. He has no clue how to manage a game. The Texans game is just the latest example of not being able to adjust and react to the needs of a specific situation.

We were in that game until the end, what was the law firms yards per carry and why the hell didn't we feed him the ball. Andy was obviously struggling and we were gashing them in the run game. Before you point out the obvious that he is not the play caller, he is the HC and could ( if he were a leader ) tell Gruden to do what he wants him to do!!!

Better question do you think Marvin wants to be the GM? I don't. I think he loves the game and coaching the game. Marvin has had to do way more than coach in Cincinnati. He had to change a culture while trying to be a HC. No simple task by itself even more difficult when dealing with Mike Brown.

Say what you wish but I believe Marvin has only been allowed to fully do it his way for basically two seasons now. Is he the best at what he does? Probably not but Cincinnati is not your typical franchise and everyone on these boards is well aware of it.
