The only reason I ever wanted him was for his leadership skills. Now, who's going to respect him after this? No, thank you.

I've never been too interested in the guy. Partially, because I thought he'd be gone long before we drafted, but more because I thought he was way over-hyped.

He'll still be gone before the Bengals pick in the first, and if he isn't, they should definitely think of taking him @ 21.

And those saying that they wouldn't take him even as an UDFA are complete morons.

Well? Where's the option for "I didn't want the Bengals to draft him, before this BS came about"?

Agree, I think that the National Championship game highlighted his strengths and weaknesses very well...

My buddy and I joked in October that we should pretend everyone we know died so we could get some Heisman sympathy votes... I said all along that he was the 3rd best LB in the midwest, but I never imagined he was actually the scumbag we joked about.

Also, we saw how effective he was against a decent team. Don't waste a pick on him.

I wouldn't take him till the 3rd, primarily because I don't think he's very good. I thought I was watching Rey in the championship game.

Te'o is exactly who I thought he was and he confirmed it in the National Championship game and now with this revelation.

ESPN is now reporting that he was a "willing participant" in the "hoax" for the sole purpose to generate recognition. Even Brian Bosworth never scooped this low.

Folks over-react.

Seems like a really good dude. I'd be interested to see what he has to say, before I jump the gun like so many.

He projects more as a 3-4 ILB IMO.

Never been a big fan, and this certainly doesn't help.

Can you imagine how much worse this would of have been if he won the Heisman?

This whole incident will have ZERO effect on his draft status.

However, his game tape will. After watching the Alabama game scouts and GMs will disect this guy more than ever. If he falls in the draft, it's because of his ability, not this crap.

If he actually fesses up, says he shouldn't have let the story run and kept it going because he wanted to keep his Heisman shot alive...then I will go third round.

That being said I don't want this guy near this team with a top pick. Give me Ogletree any day of the week over him.

It will have an affect on his draft stock if he gets hammered during interviews and keeps his silly "I'm a victim" routine going instead of fessing up and being real with GMs.

Why is it so hard to believe he was duped? I don't know what happened, but it isn't like the guy's story is far fetched.

I am not saying he didn't know, but I will wait until I make my final judgement. Even if he knew, big deal. He did it for publicity. At least he wasn't an accomplice to murder like another MLB I know.

I don't want him in the first, but anything after that is value imo.
