Walterfootball mock draft is looking much better this week

Id rather have a LB in 2B but if trufant is a much better value than any LBs available it wouldnt be a problem.

I'm one of the guys not wanting a DE in the first, and this is the first draft i like by walter

Not my favorite choice of RB, but I would use one of our top 3 picks on secondary.

I will check the Walter Football mock against the actual National Football League draft to evaluate its reality.

It would seem, from the threads on "Jungle Noise', that the safety is a position that could be upgraded with this "mocked" pick.

I find, at this present time, no arguement with the first two picks "mocked" by Walter Football ojn this weeks update.

Here are Rounds 3 and 4:

Rd 3) Cincinnati Bengals: Sean Porter, DE/OLB, Texas A&M
The Bengals have to make some changes in their linebacking corps, one of which is at strongside linebacker. Manny Lawson is a free agent, so here's a replacement if he leaves.

Pick change; previously Chase Thomas, DE/OLB

Rd 4) Cincinnati Bengals: Michael Buchanan, DE/OLB, Illinois
Michael Johnson is a free agent. Even if he's retained, the Bengals could use depth at the position.

Pick change; previously Robert Alford, CB

As much as I think Vaccaro is a reach for the 21st pick in the draft, I would not mind this draft scenario at all. Bernard, Vaccaro, and Porter would all help our team very much. Trufant and Buchanan would be good depth as well, and could develop into starters within a couple years.

Our defense might have to hold their opponents to under 10 points/game.

I think it take a Center in the 4th, but really what the problem with our offense?

No top Running Back,
Center
WR depth which i doubt we will find anybody who we KNOW will be better than sanu or jones this year.
QB play is average but wont be taken care of in this draft.

Seems like a top Rb and good center will be great for the offense and may very well leave dalton as the weakest link.

Anyways i really like matt elam and think id like him over vacarro

I don't think the Bengals would take Bernard if Lacy is still on the board. At least I hope not.

All I know is that I hope the Bengals can address lb, rb, and safety with the first four picks.

Rd 1 - Alec Ogletree/Kenny Vacarro

Rd 2a - Eddie Lacy/Giovanni Bernard

Rd 2b - BPA

Rd 3 - Baccari Rambo/Sean Porter

2 years ago their final mock had us taking AJ, Dalton, and Sands.

It's always entertaining to note how incredibly different mock drafts from different sources are. Bleacher report has us taking Kansas St. LB Arthur Brown in the first round:

...even though Walterfootball only has him going in the THIRD round (one pick ahead of when we pick)

Brown was very, very impressive in the one and only Kansas St. game I watched last year, but I guess is considered by most to be small for the NFL.

Would be very happy with this mock. Vaccaro is the best of a very deep safety class; he can cover and play in the box; he would be a great addition.

Bernard is the perfect compliment for BJGE and would be an outstanding kick returner which means that we can move on from Tate .

CB isn't an enormous need but adding a solid guy that could develop into a future starter is a good idea.

Brown was very, very impressive in the one and only Kansas St. game I watched last year, but I guess is considered by most to be small for the NFL.

Brown is 6'1" 230; definitely undersized and definitely not a Zimmer-esque LB. It would be a surprise to see us take him early.
