Default Gruden, Zimmer back in 2013

Arians to Cardinals per Schefter. All 8 openings filled. We'll have both coordinators back which is a good thing IMO.

Maybe good. If we start seeing designed rollouts, traps, screens, you know - all those plays designed to attack aggressive pass rushes. And if the offense starts running a lot more up tempo - just now it runs too slow.

It is what it is. I wanted fresh blood and ideas at OC. We'll see if Gruden gets better. My advice to him, start studying the defensive schemes and personnel of our 2013 opponents NOW! Work on the play book.

We know Marvin's having him and his position coaches evaluate his personnel. After the Binns, Tate debacle of 2012, I'm not sure I trust Jay's ability to evaluate talent. That's a problem.

Its funny that fans want Zimmer as our HC after he has been passed over for how many jobs? Either other teams are missing something or we are...

I think Gruden just needs to realize that this isn't arena ball and it's not bad to run the ball sometimes and drain the clock.

I know our problem with Runkowski in '09 was that he ran the ball too much, but sometimes we need to do it.

Refer to my complaints about his play calling in the last three minutes against the Cowboys when we threw an incomplete pass and got sacked when we only had four yards for the first and we had been running it down their throats.

What it is is that I think he's still in the mindset that teams can score quick like they can in arena ball so he tries to score every drive (sometimes you need ball control or to run the ball to kill the clock).

Gruden will be just fine. It is up to Dalton and his Inferior WRs (exception green) to go out there and move the ball.

Yeah, I wanted Zim back, but was kind of hoping for a new OC. Oh well, it is what it is. I guess Gruden will get at least one more year to show he knows what he is doing and can get this offense moving.

The reports I heard are that Zimmer is very straight forward in the interview process and not necessarily the best "press conference" coach. Owners want more flash - for me I will take the substance every time. Sounds like a Mike Brown kind of coach...

It seems this is the only quote from his father that Mike Brown remembers....and it sounds like a Marvin Lewis press conference.

Im hoping to see a few more original screens, some good play action and maybe a second TE to open up a few lanes next year. Also hoping he can get Andy to move around a little. Hear me now Gruden, the same old run run pass crap is getting old so MIX IT UP!

Corner I agree totally that the players left plays on the field. But by and large every team has it's half dozen stars/really good players and it's up to the coaches to "coach up, play call, and gameplan" the rest of em !

There's not near as much differnce player wise team to team as some believe ! No, every team doesn't have Brady or Rodgers. But as a whole it's not that far apart.

it will only be good if they push the players to fulfill their true potential, and if they stop the under-performance that seems to be rampant with this team

It's also funny how a half dozen teams have interviewed Gruden based on pedigree and nothing more.
Teams are leaning towards offensive guys due to the direction of the league.
Zim would be a great HC in my opinion, glad he's back. I can't say the same about a guy who has proven absolutely nothing as an NFL coach.

This is great news. I believe a lot of our fans are giving our offensive talent too much credit and our defemsive not enough credit as well.

Our offense is ranked in the bottom 3rd. Blame the coach and the scheme if we have a hall of fame QB playing and loaded with vets. We have neither, People need to get off Gruden's sack.

I am glad Zim is staying as well, but I am more interested in keeping our starters in tact with the exception of Rey.

It is a great thing continuing continuity in coaching right now because the team is so young. People ask how long do they get to grow? I say next year is the measuring stick for young guys like Dalton, Gresham and our OL.

Also isn't this the season where they have to spend all the cap money?

I agree with that. I think a lot of coordinators could coach our defense. We have a dominant line and a secondary loaded with 1st round picks.

Why does Gruden never run any type of hurry up offense other than at the end of the game.
