Gotta back the AFCN champs, just as many, many years ago I would get behind the (gasp) Pittsburgh Pirates when the Reds didn't make it.

Yes, clearly the mighty Colts were the measuring stick for how far the Ravens would go.

Congrats. I was definitely one of the doubters. Time to hand San Fran a Super Bowl loss.

Glad the Ravens made it over New England. But the following 2 weeks of Harbowl references and the coverage is going to be more sickening than it was watching the media slurp all over Tebows nuts.

At least it isn't gatorade. I am guessing however...not the first time Harbaugh has taken it in the face.

Harbaugh bowl. There will certainly be a smug cloud warning in effect. Also, there is this.

Get your barf bag ready.

The Ravens not only had to beat the Patriots but they had to beat the referees, too! New England gets away with bloody murder without being penalized; I thought the Steelers got away with crap but the Patriots get away with even more.

Last night I saw the Patriots offensive linemen commit chop blocks, blocks in the back, many instances of blatant holding including one instance of taking a Raven linebacker to the ground, two uncalled false starts, and one instance of a guy jumping offside without the line judge even moving his hand to pull a flag. On defense I saw Kyle Arrington "fall" when defending Torrey Smith on a deep pass route, causing Smith to fall, and no flag was thrown. Look, I know there are times where a receiver and defensive back get tangled up but New England does that a lot -- and I am convinced that cheatin' Bill Belichick teaches his secondary to do this.

I actually thoughts the refs did a fairly good job both ways.

Here's one from last year.

They get away with murder.

And did you see Tom Brady "protecting himself" by trying to cleat a Ravens DB while sliding?

http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18c4...f/original.gif

Disgusting.

I thought the same thing when I saw that slide. I'm not even sure if a rule exists for that but Brady has made up enough rules this should be one more.

That move would have resulted in an ejection in baseball.

There are rules for the NFL, a separate set for the Patriots in general, and another set altogether to protect Tom Brady.

And of course, CBS and it's all star commentators...... began to say that Brady needs to be careful. He could have hurt HIMSELF doing that. Nothing on Reed getting kicked.

Anyone see Brady running for the first, the ref move out of his way and Brady change direction to use the ref as a blocker and try to avoid the Ravens tackling him?

And as a Bengals fan, I guess you're just so used to blaming officials for losses that it comes naturally.

Yes, and now I no longer wonder what happened to James Earl Jones.

What makes this so awesome?

9.5 point underdogs?
CBS licking Brady's ***?
CBS reminding everyone how the Ravens lost last year?
CBS telling us that the Patriots don't lose to the same team twice in a year?
CBS telling us that Brady is (WAS) 67-0 when leading at home after halftime?

or hearing fans chant Seven Nation Army at Foxboro?

I'll try not to noob it up with my excitement

I really enjoyed the outstanding clock management just before the half.

Marvin Lewis and Pat Shurmur where at home thinking 'hell that was a great decision Tom"
