THIS TOPIC INVOLVES THE SENSITIVE SUBJECT OF HOMOSEXUALITY. THIS THREAD IS IN NOT THE PLACE FOR ANY PERSONAL COMMENTS ON THE MORALITY OF HOMOSEXUALITY. I ASK THAT IF ANY PERSON POSTS ANYTHING REGARDING THE MORALITY OF HOMOSEXUALITY OR A PERSONAL OPINION ON HOMOSEXUALITY THAT ALL OTHER MEMBERS IGNORE THE POST EVEN IF IT IS FROM THE THE MOST SNIDE AND ISIDIOUS MEMBER HERE. I CAN NOT STOP ANYONE FROM POSTING WHATEVER HE WANTS, BUT I ASK THAT WE ALL WORK TOGETHER TO DISCOURAGE THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR IN THIS THREAD.



So what do think the chances are that Manti Te'o is gay? He is from a super devout Mormon family. I assume that it could be very difficult to be born gay in a family like that. What better beard could he have than an online girlfriend that he can talk about, but never has to have any physical contact with?

I know all sorts of people can fall for internet hoaxes, but this guy is not some desperate geek that could not get a girlfriend any other way. I just find it very odd that a superstar with the confidence level of Manti Te'o would never have a physical relationship with a girl.

What do you guys think?

I've had the exact same thought. Of course, he could just be really really shy around girls and didn't want people pressuring him to engage contact with them. Who knows the reason why? If he really is that devout, it's very likely that he's just totally naive. It could be any number of things, but I think him being gay is a real possibility.
